Find out what Deli restaurants to try in Oak Park. Architecture buffs will be well acquainted with Oak Park, once the home of Frank Lloyd Wright, where he designed and built some of his earliest buildings. Unity Temple, the Nathan G. Moore House and Wright's own former home and studio are among the many Wright buildings still preserved in the village, while buildings such as the Cheney Mansion were designed by his students. Oak Park is also the famed birthplace of Ernest Hemingway, whose childhood home is now a museum open to visitors.

The place is legendary and proves every time why!I always come in ready to buy a particular item. But my mind usually changes when I see the food displayed! Some fabulous food just calls my name and I have to get it.Just the other day, I came in open minded and the chicken parm and rice balls were calling me. They were awesome continuing the long amazing track record of great food from Freddyâs.Pizza, gelato and everything they make and sell is special. Do yourself a favor and experience Freddyâs!

Great Italian sandwich shop! Very friendly staff. If you ever wondered what real Italian bread, cheese, and cold cuts taste like, you can find out here. I get the sandwich they call the Alpine and it is one of my favorites. Parking is terrible. There is a tiny parking lot that holds 3 cars and the rest is parallel parking on North Ave (you have enter the parking lot from the alley behind the store). You could probably get away with parking at the grocery store across the street or you have to go north into Elwood park and park on a side street. Worth the hassle. Very small dining area, but most people take out. Legendary in Oak Park, River Forest, and Elmwood Park.

I stopped here for a quick sandwich. A small deli with a few tables, it is a family-owned deli. The staff is very friendly and efficient. I tried the tuna sandwich and it was quiet tasty and came with bagel chips.
