Vicâs is a local staple in Absecon, offering the best subs and sandwiches around South Jersey. They use nothing but the best Italian bread, delivered daily fresh from Atlantic City. Vicâs uses high quality meats for their subs. The food is always consistent and delicious. The place is primarily known for take out or delivery. There is a small dining area if you would like to eat in the store, however you will have people standing besides you waiting to pick up their food. Vicâs makes very nice sub trays for parties. I suggest calling ahead to place your order for pick up. They are always busy!

This place does not disappoint. The coffee is fresh, the eggs are cooked exactly as requested, and the service was great and with a pleasant smile. Although this place gets busy late morning, we had no problem getting a seat right away on Saturday around 10am. A great place to eat if you are staying at the MarriottVacationClub. I will come back again. I recommend you try the Sunryser Country Store for a pleasant way to start your day!

Friends from Florida needed a south jersey sub fix. Hit the one in Absecon, which was not crowded. Service was excellent. Got the usual subs; cheese steak, whipped tuna and regulars. Always taste the same. Just great! Prices go up, but the food is always the same. Don't want to go to AC for subs, then hit a Sackos off shore.
The Friendly Deli is a tiny, unassuming place, tucked away on the back side of a coldcut counter. The day we were there, there was only one employee serving both deli and sit down area, but he was fast, friendly and efficient. The sandwiches that were served were fresh and tasty, full of fresh meats and cheeses, lettuce and tomatoes. It was the kind of sandwich you'd make for yourself if you were at home. No skimping here. Prices were reasonable, and portions adequate. If you want fine dining, this is not the place. If you want a quick bite in a relaxed atmosphere, stop at the Friendly Deli.
