This is our third visit to Totnes and we returned to The Wild Fig, this time for lunch. It is a well positioned cafe on the main shopping street and you cannot miss its distinctive frontage. The food is delicious, with generous portions, and the ingredients are fresh and sourced locally. Also, we are of the opinion this cafe serves the best coffee in Totnes! We also love the fact that the cafe serves not only vegetarian and vegan food but food choices for people who eat meat. Lovely friendly staff.

I discovered this restaurant/deli by chance while staying a couple of nights in Totnes. The food was delicious - clearly lovingly prepared by hand: a baby octopus salad and then filled home-made pasta. Everything melted in the mouth.

I was glad this place was a recommendation because I would probably have walked passed it ; nothing remarkable from the outside. Inside however and it was Ciaran ( âIrishâ ) who took centre stage with effortless charm and personality ; attentive, professional and with just the right dollop of âcraicâ ! Thereafter, a delicious cream tea was devoured in the âbackâ conservatory-style dining area which was spacious, clean and bright.Thank you for your lovely review nauj63, what a nice comment about Ciaran. He Does have a lot of charm and personality doesnât he?!The cream teas are so good arenât they? All the scones are cooked on sight every morning which makes them extra lovely!Thank you again for taking the time out to leave a review for us. We hope to see you again soonWendy
