Never had firehouse subs before but was very satisfied with it. Had the engineer sub and it tasted fresh as it could possibly be. Much better than subway.

We eat there at least once a week because they prepare the meal in front of the customer, and I can be certain to get a low-salt meal for my dad who has congestive heart failure. The portions are generous, and the large number of vegetables, make every sandwich into a salad. I have been pleased with every thing I have eaten there.
I LOVE fresh sausage and gravy. This place knocks it out the park with there fresh sausage and gravy plate lunch. They have plenty of sides to choose from and they load the plate up. Their Steak Rice and Gravy is good as well.
that I can get anywhere. If there ever was comfort food gone modern, this is it. I carry them out and eat them on the road. Then I change shirts at the next rest stop. MMMMMMMmmmmmGOOD!
