The cool thing about visiting Brentwood are the Hispanic delis. You can eat from Latin American restaursnts and delis from all over the world in one town. La Cubanita is one of the most popular with the locals. All food is good, try the Cuban sandwich you won't be disappointed

Upon arrival for lunch we were greeted by staff and guided to our table. Our server had excellent knowledge of the menu and immediately gave us his recommendation after asking what were we hungry for. We went for their Corn beef sandwich and onion rings. Also a very cold draft beer. Food arrived really fast accompanied by pickled coleslaw and fills. Great service all the way and food. We would be back soon for sure.

I waited until I ate here a second time to be sure that the quality was consistent and I was not disappointed. Had passed this place for years but never went in because it seemed like it was only for locals. Decided to give it a try after a chance meeting with the owners son who recommended it highly. Was greeted by Dimas Escobar and give a tour of the fish store and then seated in a small more private section in the back of the restaurant. It is not a large restaurant (adjacent to the fish store) but there is a front section of 12-15 tables and about 6 more in the rear. After chatting with Mr.Escobar we were promised a special meal consisting of a Cervice followed by a seafood dish which was not on the menu. The Cervice was on the menu and it was a combination of shrimp, calamari, pulpo etc and was just amazing and enough to feed 4 (we were only 2) and the price was reasonable. The entree was a dish called a la Barcelona which consisted of fresh salmon, calamari and shrimp in a yellow rice sauteed in oil and garlic with peas. It was beyond good and the portion could have easily fed 4 people. The Cervice was as good or better than any I have eaten in anywhere in Central or South America and the A La Barcelona was the best seafood/rice dish I ever had (better than a paella). So we went back a second time and had the same dishes for four people and there were still leftovers and the quality was consistently good. Finished off the meal with a piece of Tres Leches which was the best we ever tasted and also had a pitcher of Sangia. The entire meal for 4 people was $98 including tax and tip. You can't beat that anywhere on long Island for a Seriously good meal.
