Find out what Danish restaurants to try in Copenhagen. Copenhagen was once a Viking fishing settlement, and you can still find traces of the Norse explorers here. Visit reconstructed villages, the remains of a 1,000-year-old castle, and museums dedicated to the notorious raiders. Copenhagen also features a blend of modern architecture and historical artifacts such as the Round Tower observatory – a wonderful example of 17th-century architecture. Art galleries, narrow streets, canals, parks, and Baroque churches round out the city’s cultural attractions.

Kokkeriet is a place with contrasts. It is a small restaurant with big ambitions. Familiar taste in an unfamiliar context. High-flying passion with a hint of grounded reality. It's a gastronomic choice in a different rendition of classic as well as new Da
Some months ago I had dinner there and I got an unpleasant experience with a dish based on Pigeon Breast (almost raw) and I have posted a no-fully positive feedback. After that, the restaurant manager has contacted me to verify my experience and he has proposed me to refund totally the dinner I had or to come back there for a free-of-charge dinner. I have chosen for the 2nd option and yesterday I was warmly welcomed by all staff, already informed about me and my previous visit. Great degustation menu and wine pairing. This is the right way to grow up in quality, taking care about clients, wherever they come from. Congratulations once again and go on in this way!Dear Franco, Thank you so much for the second visit and amazing review. We are so thankful that you came to visit us again and are beyond happy that you had a much better experience this time around. We hope to see you for a third visit :) Best wishes,

Of all the great options for places to eat and things to do in Amsterdam this is #1. The basement location is quaint, comfortable. The menu is extensive traditional Danish, food presentation amazing and the tastes are delicious. The eel is the best, most unique dish Iâve eaten in Europe. The eel tastes like a unique combination of salmon and pork. The akvavit is a must. Our waiter was very informative and as my wife described himâcharming. Hussmanâs Vinstue opened in 1888, and itâs obvious why it has been around for so long...itâs the greatest!

We live in a cosy apartment in two floors on the cobbled street Snaregade â one of the oldest streets in Copenhagen, close to the canals. Here, we invite you for Nordic gastronomy, made entirely from scratch and with a true curiosity for new taste experie
We were very impressed with M&B. The courses were all interesting and, at times, challenging. Strong, innovative and unusual flavours with perfectly paired wines and excellent service from Katia and several others. Stand outs for us were the snack course with the blue mussel creme, the brill and pumpkin with black garlic and the completely unique cheese course. My personal favourite was the stunning tartare though. The 30-day-aged beef and mushroom flavours were perfect with the salty Danish cheese. We added the white beluga caviar, which our servers basically told us when best to add it to various dishes. It was also amazing with the gorgeous bone-marrow-basted sourdough and fresh buttermilk butter. The only sort of miss for me was the veal tenderloin with grilled baby Savoy cabbage and chanterelles (my hubby loved it though). It was well-prepared and tasty enough, but just didnât have the innovative flavours of the rest of the chefâs menu. A fabulous first night of our New Nordic cuisine adventures in Copenhagen this week. Dear Guest, Thank you very much for you kind words. We all greet and thank you! Katia also says hello and thank you for a very good evening. You are mentioning some very strong courses from our fall menu. My absolute favourites as well. I hope you had a good week in little Copenhagen. Best Regards, Jonas

Nice little lunch restaurant with Danish couple as owner. We serve Danish traditional lunch with smørrebrød. Ther is no vegan dishes but fish. We recommend 2 pieces to taste different kind of smørrebrød. Our food is made by old-fashioned recipes with high
Decided to try some local food here having read such positive reviews here. We ordered mustard herring, breaded flounder, prawns with eggs and meatballs. We were really hungry so we queried about ordering some more but we were advised not to. It was definitely enough for the 2 of us. Every single dish was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed them all. I would recommend booking in advance if you want to avoid disappointments as we saw a few people walking in that could not get a table. Julia is the owner, we felt very well looked after. She is friendly and really welcoming. Her husband is the chef but we did not get to see him- although we have loved to just to tell him how much we enjoyed lunch. Donât miss this hidden gem if you visit Copenhagen! huge thanks for such nice review. it was our pleasure to receive you guys in the Cafe Komplet. Jakob and Julia

Wow, wow, wow! This restaurant deserves everyone of the 3* it has sent. The menu itself is extremely expensive , however the experience is everything. The chef created a vegan tasting menu for me and my husband had the Autumn menu. It was 17+ mini courses, all with their own story to tell and sublime flavour combinations. It's mind-blowing how tiny plates of food are packed with so much flavour and power.Every guest received a tour of the wine cellar and a tour of the kitchens. No matter where you sit, you can watch the chef's, sommeliers and waiting staff creating magic. Everything flowed perfectly, the team worked together seamlessly and even the Chef's came out of the kitchen and delivered food to the table. This included the head chef Rasmus. The whole journey was around 4 hours but it never felt like that. It's currently the 5th best restaurant in the world and I can see why. A perfect experience.

The Concept Just like Marv & Ben, The Pescatarian is characterized by a high quality dining experience, at reasonable prices. For guests not in the mood for a big dinner, you can instead enjoy a snack menu and a glass of Champagne in the Oyster Bar. The m
We had the 6 course menu - with wine, tea and coffee the bill was 1,885 Kr. We had scallops, freze dried artichoke, beets with green cream, squid, lobster and finished with plums blackcurrant and cinnamon cream with orange strips. The pudding maybe had too many bits for my taste but the overall meal was excellent for the price and lots of people were enjoying it..

Gourmet sandwich bar. BIG sandwiches and BIG taste. Quality danish commodities and fresh vegetables. Special imported cheese, ham, meat, fish and poultry. Homemade ingredients including sauces and salsas. Danish and international inspired kitchen. Varied
This place is a small sandwich restaurant close (a few blocks) to the Copenhagen main train station. You could easily walk by; however, you will be missing out on a great sandwich experience. The guy behind the counter recommended the 1, 5 or 9. I went with the 9 and was not disappointed. Easily, one of the best sandwiches I have ever eaten. The one item that makes a sandwich great, not just good is the bread. The bread, texture and taste was excellent. Plus, extra points for being slightly toasted.Last the sandwich was a generous portion. You wonât leave hungry. I will definitely go again next time in Copenhagen.+ Good service+ Great value for the priceThank you very much for taking the time to review Smagsløget - we truly appreciate it. We hope to see you at your next visit in Copenhagen. :)

We had the Krebs crayfish salad, then beef tenderloin followed by creme caramel. All were well done. Mats our Norwegian host made the whole experience fun. There seemed to be a number of groups enjoying dinner - especially the cheese course wth wine pairings - Mats made this great fun especially for spectators like us! Including wine our meal for 2 was under 1200Kr which seemed quite reasonable for the quality
