Been here 3x with family as it is their favorite restaurant. Very nice choice of wild food. Usually very tasty. Service is generally good but sometimes it is inconsistent. Nevertheless for a restaurant in a village it rarely has a competition many kilometres around.

I'm not sure whether we have ever had salmon and chicken cooked as perfectly as this - so tender, moist and flavoursome. Wonderful chef. Most meals come with "lots of mixed vegetables", which is actually an interesting, varied salad of healthy and very fresh produce. It was a simple yet perfect and high quality lunch. Service was good. Definitely recommended.

We recently had a family meal here and were extremely satisfied with the service and quality of the food, in fact the portions were so big, the kids could have split the meal. The waiters/waitress were extremely attentive to our needs and were continually smiling and pleasant. The food itself was excellent - just potentially a little too much.

We've eaten here several times, and usually go there 2-3 times a year, mostly for the surroundings, as the mini lake with fishing, the rolling hills and ponies nearby are all nice to view. The food has been decent each time we have been there, but I would not say it is top quality food, just normal average Czech food. There is an issue with flies during the summer months (common issue in many restaurants in the area), so in my opinion, this place is best visited in spring and autumn.

We ate twice here in July, both times at lunch. The first time we sat indoors to keep cool and the second time in the inner courtyard when it was not too hot. The food and service were good both times, though the first time we were inside and everyone else was outside so we felt a little neglected, but we understood they were busy with everyone outside. We did enjoy the peace inside so it was ok. The food was fresh and tasty and it's quite reasonably priced.

We have visited Chodská chalupa already third time and it was always a memorable experience. Great location with the view over the country, with outside and inside tables. The highlight was the cuisine, which is absolutely unexpected in a restaurant far away from the main culinary cities. Great soup, paté as a starter and finaly delicious main course. We were lucky, so that there was also the famous Konrady Pipe music playing life the local national music. Next time we will stay overnight in the bungalows, which belong to the restaurant. We simply love this place.

I went here when it first opened and the place was great, I subsequently went back when the food and service were absolutely terrible, and the waitress tried to steal money, I thought I would give them another try and was highly disappointed once again which is very sad as the decor and location is great, they just seem to have lost the plot with service and quality.

They really like to have kids in the place for lunch, they have some toys and games around for the young ones to use and provide suckers afterwards, and a little plastic toy on top of the kids' drinks. The food came in large portions (possibly too big), was very fresh and tasty and they were attentive to our needs. They limit the smoking, so there is no smoking allowed between 11 and 1 for lunch, which is really nice and pleasant. We'd recommend this place over other places in Domazlice if you have kids, or if you're a non-smoker.

A great local pub with old Czech surroundings, good atmosphere, pretty decent food and beer. At times it can feel quite cramped, but I do think it adds to the atmosphere and makes it seem homely and friendly. The evenings are packed with locals, so you may have to share a table. Although I do like the food here, I prefer the beer :-).
