We love Cuban food. After moving from Florida we searched for a good Cuban restaurant close to home. It was amazing . We ordered mussels and they come already shelled in what seemed like a scampi sauce, butter, garlic and lemon. It was so good. The Vaca Frita was amazing and my mojito hit the spot. The waiter was great and the atmosphere nice. I will be back.
I usually get a take-out lunch there which includes chicken, beef or pork and a side of rice & beans. Cost is about $6.00. They have a main counter and some seating in one room for take-out; to include pizza and some Italian specialties. The other room is a nice cozy restaurant with comfy tables & chairs and waiter service. It's also a BYOB.I haven't been there for dinner yet but I can tell by eating their lunches that it's good Cuban food. Their dinner entrees are a good and wide selection, more that other Cuban restaurants. They also have a good Tapas (appetizers) list. For some reason I don't see their lunch menu on their web site (??), but it's reasonably priced. I usually get a lunch menu at their counter in the restaurant.Tonight I went there and got some food/snacks to bring to my clubs bar; a bunch of guys having a beer after work. I brought two Cuban sandwiches (also not on their menu ??) and three orders of the "Yuca Frita" or fried yucca. The yucca came with small containers of a mojito for dipping. The sandwiches were large, I was able to cut them into six portions each. The club members never tasted the yuca frita and loved them, as they did the Cuban sandwiches. So I feed about seven people with some Cuban snacks, with some left over, for $23.00.I hear the owners plan to have some music and dancing on the weekends, after dinner time; that would be nice. One can also order online for pick-up or delivery.

Pork belly, shredded beef, spicy shrimp, grilled chicken. All the dinner plates came with white or yellow rice and red or black beans or fresh vegetables. Beef - jalapeno and beef and cheese empanadas. Way to much food for 4 people. Very good food, felt very tradtional home made food. Staff was very friendly and helpful with choices

Down River Road, near the limits of town, this exciting restaurant, sister of the one in Hackensack, with a slightly different menu, offers very flavorful food. Great for groups, special occasions and romantic dinners. Not ideal for children. Valet parking is the only way to go.
