estaurant Lav builds his reputation for over 30 years and is widely famous by fabelous cousine!We have various kind of specialties on a MenuMeat on a grill â Äevapi, filled pljeskavica, great makedonski uvijaÄi (ombolo filled with cheese an bacon) and other great meals.We also have all kinds of Istrian specialties and fish on the grill. Under the grill hood we prepare "TavÄe gravÄe" and "Makedonska tava" (Macedonian pan) prepared in earth bowls and we also have home made Istrian bread baked on woods in old stone oven.

A romantic place by the sea, dinner at the sunset, grilled calamari and fish soup (unfortunately not many options for fish dishes), two beers and two plum shots (offered) at the very reasonable price of 20 euros total. We'll go back in a few days.

Kod Kancelira was recommended to us as a place for having great food. Unfortunately, I have to say that the food was not much better than average, even though each of us had been starved by the time we got served. As a matter of fact, we had to wait nearly 90 minutes to get our fish plates. You would expect a Croatian restaurant to be faster with a comon dish like that one.

We stopped for a lunchtime snack and ended up consuming a meal of some substance!This is homemade food at its best. We had 2 hake and pommes , 1 Istrian pasta (pljukanci) with veal goulash and 1 fusi with game goulash (mostly venison). Stunningly good and filling. The local wine is great too! Bread was gratis and the olive oil local and peppery.Free digestifs were offered and opted for Ruda and bilberry grappa. Price incredibly reasonable.

Extremely poor service, forgot 1 dish, uninformed and lousy waiters. Every dish ordered extremely badly done. I recommend entering this restaurant only to ask for directions to a place where you can actually eat some (good) food and enjoy, at least, normal staff.

Ãhesen tértünk be, rengeteg vendég volt. Ennek ellenére viszonylag gyorsan elkészült a 2 személyes grill tál és a 2 adag cevapcici. Az adagok nagyok voltak. Istenien finom volt, frissen készült, köszönjük!We went here so hungry, there were a lot of guests. However, the 2-person grill dish and the 2 servings of cevapcici were ready relatively fast. Portions were huge. All was delicious, freshly made, thank you!

Luxury restaurant in a truly excellent hotel deserving five stars by any standard. Well designed interior, warm and lovable terrace, very peaceful. Not by the seaside, but worth making a detour to enjoy (or rather to stay there). Great and friendly service by the book. Wine list concentrates on Croatia, but offers several French names religiously followed by rich connoisseiuers both on champagne and still wines sides. Markups sadly high... We were told that chef is as of recently a new one, Italian, we thoroughly enjoyed his dishes, worthy of three GM toques. Still, we were not all that excited till dessert â crazy idea of seeking for 7 pralines hidden in a glass vessel filled with soil-resembling cocoa, and decorated with edible or just colorful decorations. One gets a glove and miniature cleaning and raking equipment for the purpose, an analogy of search for truffles. It might be a copy or the original, I do not know, but there again â something not to be missed. All in all, a 15+ on my 1-20 scale for the kitchen performance.Prices are elevated, fitted far more to Rome&Paris than to Istria. Still, considering the atmosphere, food quality and service, it is a great experience if you can afford it. We stopped for lunch and to look round the village, both restaurant and village great and nice to be away from the seafront cafes with their picture boards and their poor cooking. I had scrambled eggs with isterian sausage, wife had a desert! And daughter a chicken salad. All fresh well presented and tasty.Will come back for dinner!

We have visited La Grisa for lunch a couple of times. Excellent food and wine pairing. Try the Orange Wine, if you are not familiar with it; most of the wines are sold by the glass. Quiet, worthe while the visit. Take a stroll after dinner, in the old town.
