This place should remain number 1!!! The place has unbelievable food and great beer selection (local beers and Belgium/German) and the staff is so amazing!!! And open air seating if you like. They played some Metallica videos for me at my request. What a great find. And a short Uber/taxi ride if you are close to airport.

La luz restaurant combines mediterranean cuisine specialties with Costa Rican tropical fresh products from our own farm in Salitral and other local organic farmers. Let our chef indulge your senses into an exquisite culinary experience at La Luz Restauran
The food in here is small by American standards, but delightfully presented, and perfectly cooked. We ate breakfast twice here, and dinner, and every meal was beautiful, tender, and cooked to perfection .Jorge is particular skilled in service - I don't often come across people to his standards. The other staff were wonderful, but he deserved a particular mention. We ordered breakfast on our second morning, and I specially ordered a croissant. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven when I'd finished it, and a couple of minutes later two more warm croissants appeared quietly beside me.

Typical hotel bar in a moderate hotel. Nice enough for a night cap if you're staying at the hotel, but not interesting enough to warrant an effort to visit.

We have tried many local places, but so far this the best. They have an extended menu and the quality of the food served is way better than might be expected from the prices charged. Very reasonable. Try their Casado and their Flan Coco !. Seating is roomy, although somewhat hard, music not as loud in some other local places, where it is impossible to have a conversation. Good atmosphere. Staff extremely helpful and with enough English knowledge to get you the right order.Definitely a yes if you like to sample local food.

If you are craving for local food that is both delicious and affordable, this is the place to go. Among many great dishes: Lengua en Salsa, Chicharrones + Frijoles (Patrulla), and the Casado are tasteful and way better than the average expensive local food restaurants. The main dishes are very affordable (cheaper in price than average, but not in quality). During lunch hours, you might be waiting for a place to be freed. They make smoothies-styled drinks, instead of a mixed fruit juice. I strongly recommend!

We went with a large group of friends for an evening of fantastic food and conversation. With such a large group, we were able to try many of the dishes. Everything was fantastic! I highly recommend the ceviche and the chicken sandwiches. We will definitely be back the next time weâre in Costa Rica.

My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of dining in Davidâs home last week and the experience was excellent and highly recommended. The food was divine - everything was cooked perfectly. My boyfriend, who does not eat anything that looks like it may be a vegetable, ate his entire salad and he loved it. The ice cream was absolutely amazing. We also really enjoyed the cozy feel of the house and the interactions we had with the other diners. We will be returning! Was a great pleasure having you over. Hopefully get to see you soon again. Blessings

Food is very good. Son and mother in law loved their lobster, my husband (who grew up in the Caribbean) loved the jerk chicken, and my snapper was wonderfully fresh. Prices are terrific given how expensive equivalent quality food is elsewhere in San Jose. Setting is rustic and laid back - it could easily be found on an island in the Caribbean. Servers were very patient and helpful when we were getting a wheelchair bound family member situated. Service throughout dinner was attentive. Beautiful sand filled patio with two fire pits, tables with benches and huge tree swing is beautifully lit with outdoor lights and was where most patrons chose to sit. We were on the wooden wrap around porch due to the wheelchair where the lighting was not as warm but the experience still fun.

We took a group of our collaborators for lunch to the Market today. We had coordinated some details beforehand but definitely it was thanks to Priscilla's attention and amazing service that we had such a pleasant experience. The food was delicious, service was great, prompt, and super courteous. Even having a vegan person have her lunch BTO, everything was seamless. This has been a nightmare at other places but most certainly not here. Thanks Priscilla!Dear Adrian,We´re glad that you enjoyed the food and the service of The Market. Thanks for sharing your comments, your opinion it´s very important for us. Forward to welcome you soon.Best regards,Ricardo Menendez,General Manager.
