We are a small family-run restaurant that serves up daily, locally caught, fresh fish, lovingly cooked in a friendly ambience near the beautiful beaches of Mal Pais, Costa Rica. We have outdoor shaded patio seating and are open Monday to Friday from 11am
The price is NOT high at all! I mean, the place looks fancy and clean so we almost didnât sit down because we thought the serving was gonna be small... wrong!! The servings are big, the service was really casual and cool, yet attentive. But the flavor: 10/10. My gosh the Sailor Bowl - creamy, toasty, nutty, fishy, just perfectly salty and kinda guilt-free cuz the rice was whole grain...If you are nearby, donât think twice before dropping by and having at least 79 Sailor Bowls on my behalf. And the fish pâte, I give you my word youâre gonna like it.So happy you enjoyed our little restaurant and took the time to wtite those enthousiastic comments!

Seeing the amazing reviews on TripAdvisor, we felt compelled to try this place. It was a mixed experience. The waiting staff was welcoming and nice. We had spinach and ricotta ravioli, those were excellent, just as good as in Italy, to the placeâs credit. Unfortunately, the tuna in sesame was not. Ordered red, it was delivered massively overdone and basically impossible to eat. At $20, that hurts! PURA VIDA COSTA RICA...

Ballena Bistro is located in a beautiful wooden building. Our fusion dishes are casual and creative and made with the freshest ingredients. Everything is homemade including our burger buns. We are dedicated to make your visit special.
Ballena Bistro is my favorite restaurant to visit when I am in Costa Rica. The owner, Liz is extremely hospitable and the food is amazing. When we are staying in Manuel Antonio, having lunch here is our favorite outing. The drive from Quepos is beautiful and the atmosphere at this restaurant is calm and pristine. I highly recommend the quinoa, kale dish but all of the food is delicious.Es una alegrÃa que siempre nos visiten, muchas gracias por el review, nos veremos pronto, pura vida.

I went due to positive reviews on tripadvisor & wasnât disappointed. We had pineapple & mint juices which were lovely, chicken & shrimp rice & 2 glasses of wine. The food was fresh & tastes great. At the end of the night, as 2 females we were worried about walking back into town in the dark as they couldnât get us a taxi. Our waiter was so kind and walked us home when he finished his shift. What a lovely place!

The best craft beer of Coast Rica! International beers, cozy environment, table games, hoppy hour from 5pm to 7 pm and good music!
To be honest, we were hesitant about entering another brewery/beer establishment because our experiences with other breweries were subpar. But after agreeing that we just aren't club people, as we stood in a club, we decided to try Beer House out. It was a GREAT decision. Daniel was extremely friendly and the other patrons were too. We talked about our other not so stellar experiences and how we didnt have high hopes for this location. Daniel's selection got me excited about trying a couple other locations before we leave. The options were selected with care and a good palette... It shows. I HIGHLY recommend stopping by. It's a great escape from the Jaco hustle and bustle. The vibe was cozy and the pizza place brought the pizza to us. He took care of all our needs. Thanks for your positive review, I really appreciate it. I'm really glad you found this little pub because it was a pleasure serving you and chatting with you both. Take care,

One of the great pleasures of Santa Teresa is outdoor dining, and it's even better when the beautiful restaurant is on the beach. Delicious and attractively presented cocktails, and more interesting wine list (than others in Santa Teresa), and creative Latin inspired dinners -- together with a palate-cleansing shot of cucumber gazpacho and a tamarind-infused shot to round out the meal. Highly recommended for a more "special" night.Dear RedSabreThank you for taking the time to write such a positive review. We are very happy that you really enjoyed our place. We look forward to welcome you again soon.Kind regards,Samantha Marin

I had read reviews that the restaurant offered vegan options but I messaged to confirm. Cindy took the time to send me via message every option available to me. She made us feel so welcome upon our arrival. The food was delicious, atmosphere perfect! From the avocado hummus to the homemade chickpea patties, everything was tasty and filling. The prices were very reasonable and Cindy worked her butt off, handling all of the restaurant diners' needs both pleasantly and expeditiously!!!Awww thanks so very very much !!! I'm glad you both felt welcome and comfortable at Los Laureles that is what we are looking for along with fresh food that gets prepared with love for you to enjoy, very thankful for recommending our place looking forward to se you soon, thanks
