We love Diquis! They make you feel like family (even though we're American :). ). It seems to be a favorite of French Canadians. The best thing about Diquis is the people! They are so kind and inclusive. The surroundings are natural, cool, jungle, open air, intimate and peaceful. They have entertainment on Saturday evenings such as karaoke or latin dancing. The food is always very fresh, elegantly simple and delicious. They take the stress out of life by keeping the menu to one or two choices. This is a great place to get away from the crowds, sit with friends and family and enjoy fresh food and life. Pure vida!Thanks very much your nice words. We went here for dinner during our one night in Ojochal on a trip to see various parts of CR. Frankly, wed driven all day and didn’t want to drive another minute, so this next-door location was perfect. This is a very welcoming place, especially for expats, who seem to congregate here. The owner is an expat and has set up games, a lounge and a great bar and restaurant in addition to having Cabinas, I believe. The staff are very friendly and attentive, and the treehouse restaurant provides a welcomed breeze after a hot day. Most surprising was the quality of the drinks and the food, which we were not expecting. If you’re in the area, stop by for a casual meal. Closed Tues-Wed but a great place.

Ballena Bistro is my favorite restaurant to visit when I am in Costa Rica. The owner, Liz is extremely hospitable and the food is amazing. When we are staying in Manuel Antonio, having lunch here is our favorite outing. The drive from Quepos is beautiful and the atmosphere at this restaurant is calm and pristine. I highly recommend the quinoa, kale dish but all of the food is delicious.Es una alegría que siempre nos visiten, muchas gracias por el review, nos veremos pronto, pura vida.

Live in the area and took my brother- in- law and sister-in-law here last week for a final treat before they headed back to cold New England. We went at sunset which was spectacular with a 360 degree view (the restaurant is in Hotel Three Sixty). The restaurant's architecture is unique and elegant. The service was perfect as was the food. Three of us had the slow cooked pork bellies which was perfectly prepared and delicious and my sister-in-law had the fish which she thought was great. There was no salad on the dinner menu but they were nice enough to prepare us all the salad from the lunch menu. We didn't order deserts as we were all full and already had pina coladas. And actually it was not as expensive as other restaurants in the area. We stopped by for a cold beer and decided to order some shrimp. So fresh and tasty. The beer was ice cold and the view of the river with the guys fishing for shrimp was fun to watch. The iguana on the roof was so cute. Overall, this place was a great place to hang out for beer and snacks. I recommend Boca Coronado to anyone visiting the Ojochal area.

We’ve eaten here dozens of times and we have never been disappointed. The dishes are always delicious, the portions are great (especially the arroz dishes), and the people who work there are lovely. We’ve eaten most of the main dishes and have never worried about gluten (we ask first if we are worried). Highly recommended!

After some of the strenuous hikes to some other waterfalls, this one was a pleasure to stroll to!! We swam in the pools under the waterfall to cool off. Then had a kicking lunch of fresh tilapia. It's very peaceful & beautiful. Not a lot people there, felt like it was our own private waterfall!

After a day at Playa Ventenas, head for this delightful place recommended by Fabiano at the inimitable Citrus across the road. Totally met our expectations. Had the guac app, and I had a fish sandwich--bread and fish delectble--and topped with the best onion rings (which were a lagniappe ). Ojochal is two for two on exceptionally good restaurants and service.

Ordered two fish sandwich plates. Unfortunately the kitchen only prepared one, but was enough for two people to share. Was delicious! Service was attentive, beautiful view, and peaceful atmosphere. A bit pricey, but worth the view.
