Reviews on Contemporary food in Zermatt, Swiss Alps, Switzerland. When most people think of Zermatt, they think of one thing: The Matterhorn. This ultimate Swiss icon looms over Zermatt, first drawing visitors here in the 1860s. The village of Zermatt itself is lovely and car-free, with old-fashioned brown chalets and winding alleys. (Don’t worry, you don’t have to walk everywhere—there are electric vehicles and horse-drawn cabs.) Skiing in the region often lasts through early summer, but when the weather’s warmer, it’s a great time to hike.

Right in the heart of Zermatt, a few steps down the street of the church you find our bakery with all you need on the go! Everything is home- and handmade with local ingredients whenever it's possible ! Don't miss our "chocolate-Matterhörnli" as well as t
There is nothing nicer when you are on holiday than looking into a bakery window, admiring the bakes. Of course I was drawn inside, allowing myself to absorb all the beautiful smells, and enjoy seeing their full range of bakes. Decided on the local strudel, omg, it was delicious.

My wife and I were blown away - we were not expecting this restaurant to be this good. Clearly the jewel of the famous Heinz Julenâs Zermatt collection, it has a stunning interior with talking pieces and artworks littering the restaurant.Service was ultra-attentive and personal (the staff were all very unique and quirky individuals) and the food was just spectacular. Very very innovative, covering a range of cuisines, and executed exceptionally. We had the full 7 course tasting menu which admittedly was a 4hour+ affair, but it was worth it - and closer to 15 courses once all amuse-bouches were considered. The champagne deserves a special mention: Iâve never been to a restaurant where Jacques Selosse is the champagne by the glass, and we had to have 2 bottles of the Dom Perignon Rose which was at shop prices!

As for the cuisine, the new CERVO Puro continues to rely on its proven strengths. The restaurant serves mainly regional and sustainably sourced products. Whether guests choose to go for one of the weekly alternating set menus, or prefer a classic dish fro
If you are looking for a fantastic fine dining experience in Zermatt, this is the place. Except for one very small complaint below, we were so impressed with everything. Everyone who works here is so attentive to detail. The menu is excellent, easy to combine and all of the dishes our group of five tried were so well presented and tasty. They also cater to special dietary needs on request. We were in foodie heaven! Some of us at the table decided to order an additional main course. This normally creates a problem for the kitchen to time the arrival of our desserts, and anyone who has done this before knows that if the added order it takes too long, the point of ordering a second dish is lost. But the waitress knew all about this and they rush ordered our extra dishes. They have an excellent selection of wines to match everything provided they don't give you the wrong wine menu. That was our only complaint. We were left fumbling with a wine list that didn't make sense until they came and changed it for us.Dear Lisa JThank you very much for your rating.Hope to see you soon again.Have a nice dayRegardsLukas MeierHotel & Operations Manager

After what seemed like hours of searching on tripadvisor for somewhere to eat in zermatt where the reviews said waiters were not rude i came across weisshorn resteraunt. Reviews were good so we went. (Wife and I). In short. The truffle fondue was amazing. The potato soup was amazing. Portion sizes are grear. The beer was amazing and the service with a smile and some banter was fantastic. This place is the best place we eaten so far after 4 days. Wish we ate every day here. The décor isnt flash. But its not bad. It just right for the atmosphere and style of place it is. And by the people wanting to eat here from 7pm onwards their reputation must be good. We ll be eating hereagain tomorrow night to try the duck breast and lamb rack. Cannot wait!!! Thank you.

Mediterranean dishes, international style
The meal we had here was good Italian/European food, as it was off season, the restaurant was almost empty. Service was great, the front of house went over everything with us, and talked to us about wine from the area. Overall a nice meal.

Welcome to Sparky's Bar & Restaurant. Wee are now closed after the summer season. Sparky's Bar & Restaurant will be opening again for the winter season from Thursday 14th November 2019. See you all soon.
We were so impressed with the food and Sparky that we ate here twice in our 8 night stay in Zermatt. Prices in Zermatt are very expensive but Sparkyâs was more reasonable. All the curries were gluten free and delicious. The 3 of us had a different one and all of them were very tasty. They did other type of food too. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and Sparky is a great chef and character. Definitely worth visiting if you are staying in Zermatt.
