My company now use the Chapterhouse for most stays and meals due to consistently good food, service and value. This particular evening was a department dinner out and was as great as always. We had the baked camembert and South African sharing board starters which were excellent (although it came with only one boerewors which wasn't enough to all share - needs two and maybe one less ribs). All bar one had steaks for mains and they were all perfectly cooked with nice chips and salad (and a great mushroom sauce for me). We were too full for deserts!Great Aspalls cider on draft, all staff were lovely as usual, we left happy!

The pub was recommended at our campsite. The staff were really friendly. The food was top notch. A proper pub! Use local gems like these or lose them.I had the fish and chips - fabulous. My boyfriend had a summer fish salad, equally scrummy. Keep up the hard but fab work guys. X

A stylish and modern restaurant set in a refurbished Victorian hotel. Our meals, all homemade on site, are served with passion and flair, providing a unique dining experience for all of our guests in the Cathedral city of Salisbury. Well loved by all of o
Well I was wrong, Sunday Lunch is not that great. Booked a table in the restaurant side but placed at one of the higher tables as the other tables were over running. Poor choice for non meat eaters, no discount for just a plate of vegetables. Carvery set up on the stage and thus the gravy container was difficult to get at for smaller people. Appeared chaotic and saw people leaving before even sitting or making their way to the bar area. Bar staff eating their lunch at the bar. Would we try again - NO.

Food was very bland, no heat or spice. Only sol, corona or desperado beer that was vaguely Mexican. Wine choice limited. No tortilla chips and salsa as an aperitif at all.....only offer nachos as a âdishâ .....tiny portions of salsa and guacamole with them. Salsa was not homemade.....itâs so easy to do. The refried beans were sweet and so was my tlayudos. Husbandâs fajitas were uninteresting.Had better Mexican at home with a Wahaca kit from supermarket! Service was ok but not much warmth. So disappointed as venue looks great and location is fab. Wonât be back.
