The Old Mill - A new beautiful restaurant for Botley in a unique historic setting, recently opened and serving quality British cuisine put together with locally sourced ingredients. The Old Mill is rapidly building a reputation as a great place to enjoy a
We surprised my Dad with a meal here as we had heard really great reviews. We were certainly not disappointed. The manager Chris greeted us and then looked after us for the whole evening. From the pre-dinner drinks to the port and the starters to the dessert, it was all absolutely delicious. Beautifully presented and really tasty. This is by far the best restaurant we have eaten in Southampton so no wonder its Botleys No 1.Hi wrongsideoffortyThank you so much for the lovely review and thank you for choosing to spend such a special occasion with us. We are so pleased you all had a nice evening and look forward to welcoming you again.Kind regards

Returning again for an evening meal with family it was reassuring to see that nothing in the quality and service provided had changed. This small but very friendly restaurant never fails to maintain its overall quality with a pleasant dining environment. Nothing is too much trouble for the chef or the management and it is a pleasure to visit and enjoy the experience of being well looked after again and again

The Restaurant & Bar at Solent Hotel & Spa is all about relaxed all-day dining with a contemporary twist. Awarded the AA Rosette for fine cuisine, it offers hearty British cuisine with some subtle Spanish influences, with emphasis on fresh and local produ
The first thing to say is that the staff were first class. Professional, attentive and helpful.Unfortunately the same praise could not be levelled at the food and pricing structure. The service was prompt. For starters we had Soup of the Day which I am sorry to say seemed to me to be bland whilst my wife seemed reasonably happy. The main course is where we had issues. I had a sirloin steak and my wife the chicken (barbecued, I think). My steak was tough in the extreme and my wife's chicken was dry. Each dinner came with the bare minimum of side ie french fries/potatoess, a tomato and cress. If you wanted, as we did, a side of carrots and brocolli it would cost you something like 12 -13 pounds for 4 portions. Why ? Having paid nearly a kings ransom for the main course I would have hoped that vegatables would be offered as part of the meal, not have to pay extra. All in all a disapoointment. For the prices charged I would have hoped for better. One saving grace was that the sticky toffee pudding was very good and priced more realistically.

We are a family run Free house in the lovely village of Swanmore. Our cosy pub has a great beer garden and open fire. We welcome dogs in our bar - where you can eat and drink - the restaurant is for humans only! All our food is freshly prepared from scrat
Were directed to this pub from another as they serve food all day and the kitchen was closed at the other one. Opted for their reasonably priced lunch menu and had a delicious main course followed by one of the best 'Eton Messes' i have tasted.
