As the title goes. Nice pub with a brilliant chatty and witty bartender. Didn’t try the food but the menu was good and what came out for others looked great.

This little cafe was just around the corner from my Airbnb. As I walked past, I decided it would be my choice for breakfast the first morning staying in Wexford. It was a good option for me.Though not on the menu, when I said I wanted something like the breakfast deal, but without the meat, the proprietor graciously offered baked beans and grilled tomato to replace the bacon and sausage. I chose coffee along with that as I wanted a taste due to the “Best Coffee in Ireland 2014” sign in the window. It was, in fact, very good coffee. (I normally opt for espresso when available.) It was strong and smooth without the bitterness to which so many common coffees are prone. There was a family dining together when I came in at late morning. The kids were being kids, and I cheerfully struck up a conversation after the children were picked up from their grandfather’s care. This is a casual place where it felt appropriate to speak to a stranger. The other customer also roped the proprietor and another employee into our discussion of caring for children and peace in the home. There were obvious regulars who came and went while I ate. I very much enjoyed feeling a part of everyday local life during my visit to the Red Kettle cafe in Wexford, Ireland.Thank you so much for such a lovely review which captures everything we are about. We get a lot of tourists who make us a regular daily stop for the exact reasons you have outlined. Thanks again and hope you enjoyed you visit to Wexford

I am livid. Easter weekend I tried to dine here with friends. Was made to feel so uncomfortable from the minute we stepped inside. The manager was so unaccommodating, and split us into tables of two!? Said that he was doing us a favor to even sit us at all!! Absolute pig ignorance! It’s so rare to find customer service as bad as this these days. So bad, that another customer - a local - who was leaving, came up to us and sympathized with the way we were treated, saying ‘the way he spoke to us was unacceptable’

I have known this establishment since before it was an hotel and have had many fine bar lunches. I am sorry to say that my visit today, the first for a while, was a very different experience. On arrival I was struck by the " tiredness " of the place. The bar was stuffy and smelled of food and food was only available from the carvery. Although there was a menu on the table, there was no table service, management decision fair enough. I had soup of the day and a mixed salad from the salad bar. The soup, mushroom, was ok but the salad ingredients were not great and there was a " crust " on the bowl of mayo. I didn't stay for coffee and when I hit the fresh air there was an unpleasant taste in my mouth. Disappointing!!Thank you sincerely for taking the time to post your recent review, we welcome all constructive feedback as it allows us to closely monitor our service and product to our guests. We operate a daily carvery from 12 noon to 3.00pm daily (3.30pm on Sunday) in our newly refurbished Forthside Bar Bistro which has won the prestigious Leinster Carvery of the Year Award 2015. Bar-food commences at 3.00pm daily (4.00pm on Sunday). In view of the substantial annual investment made at Whitford we are naturally surprised and disappointed by some of your comments and we would very much like to speak with you in an effort to establish the area which you feel needs attention. Please note all public areas will have been refurbished over the last 18 months with the completion of the Foyer area in January 2016. We hope to hear from you shortly and to welcome you again to Whitford in the future. Thank you sincerely for your time.Yours sincerely Eilish Whitty

I am a regular customer at the Terrace Restaurant and have returned many times. Every visit, without exception, is outstanding for several reasons. The Restaurant manager, Tony, runs the operation very smoothly and always has a warm welcome and while he chats with all guests he will make regular visitors feel continually welcome. The food is always excellent on all menus in the Terrace and the Early Bird for €24.95 is just as good (albeit with less choice understandably) as the à la carte. Waiting staff are consistently good and professional and friendly. Since the changeover to Clayton the restaurant has lost nothing in quality and value and they are experimenting with new dishes on the menu on a continuous basis.Overall, the Terrace is an excellent restaurant and we have booked in for New Year's Eve.
