At the last minute on a rainy day our concierge made a great reservation for us at RAIZ. The menu at Raiz offers lots of options... put together a few small plates or have a whole dinner...interesting choices and good portions sizes will leave you pleasantly sated, I am sure. If you have any questions Miguel is the waiter to ask! He is a knowledgeable professional, very personable, also quite enjoyable to talk with.If you have issues with stairs you should reserve a table on the entry floor level. We were on the third which was quite nice but others should know the stairs are winding and narrow. We thoroughly enjoyed our Black Pork skewer and a very nice Mediterranean salad side. The couvert of bread, oil/vinegar and olive paste was a delicious accomplishment.

We were staying close to Terra Nova and were searching for places nearby with good reviews. We were able to make a reservation on short notice and were not disappointed. The restaurant itself is quaint and comfortable, and the outside seating area has amazing views of the Douro River. I initially wanted to sit outside, but there was nothing available, so we sat inside. As soon as something opened up, the staff offered to move us outside, which I feel like is atypical once you are already seated and halfway through your meal. This shows how great the service was. I believe it was the owner who then took the time to get to know us after our meal, asking where we were from and how we enjoyed our meal. The food was AMAZING; honestly one of the best meals I've had in all of Europe. Great price for the portion size and every single dish we tried was delicious. I'm still dreaming about the mushroom risotto.

The Elemento means Fire Dining, a restaurant where the kitchen is cooking everything over wood fire, without any support of gas ou high technology as a normal kitchen. We respect all the seasonality of our ingredients and we change the menu frequentely, s
Extremely good food in quaint surroundings. Had the tastings dinner which was excellent. Multiple courses with a couple of bonuses as well. Service was excellent. All food is cooked using wood as the fuel which creates the only problem including after youâve left the restaurant . Your clothes and your hair will smell smokey. Better ventilation would make this a perfect place. Photos and menu for the night we were there below. Many thanks for sharing your feedback. We hope to see you again at your next trip in Porto :)

We had been searching for a memorable meal in Porto and had a number of disappointments. Finally we came across Eelebe that satisfied our palette. Mario Fernandes was our maitre d and was a very charming host, recommending each course that met our complete satisfaction as the evening progressed. The decor and background music was also very congenial. In short we have no hesitation in recommending Eelebe restaurant

A restaurant of traditional combinations where the sourdough bread is the star. And we have the river, always following us. Intrigo bread and soul.
This restaurant is up a steep hill in a residential area but we made sure we did a trial run during the day to find it. We were so glad we did, because the service and the food were excellent. And we were very surprised at home reasonable the price was for top quality food.

Porta4 is a "tapas" bar, based on traditional Portuguese gastronomy. It's a small space with a familiar environment where everything is in plain sight - our guests have the chance to accompany every step of the preparation, as if it were a dinner at a fri
We, 2 couples, went for the 7:30 PM seating. They have a second seating at 9:30 as well. We decided on the very reasonably priced fixed price tasting menu. We had a cheese and meat board to start, 2 starters, 4 entrees and 4 desserts and did a lot of sharing among us. We enjoyed everything we tried - chesses, meats, salad, mussels, tuna, veal, barley risotto and our desserts. The ambience of the small venue was great. It was fun to watch the chef prepare our meals - she was great. Our host was also wonderful. Good conversation and great recommendations for the food and wine. We highly recommend a visit here - make sure you make a reservation. (We contacted them through their Facebook page to reserve)

Wandered in at random without a reservation, and were completely blown away by the fantastic food and terrific service. The menu is small plates, meant to be combined & shared; very thoughtful and delicious reimaginings of traditional Portuguese dishes. It was so good, we returned with a friend and were able to verify that it wasn't a fluke! My suggestion is that if you have any questions on food or wine, let Leandro decide - especially the wine, he'll pick the best possible selection for your dinner. We look forward to returning on future visits to Porto, and wish them all the best!Thank you Phil G, we hope see you soon.

We sat at the bar and were so interested to watch the chef preparing the various tapas. The tapas were delicious and the presentation excellent. Have eaten all over the world and the tapas we had tonight were up with the best. We started with the Camembert with honey, garlic and parsley that had been lightly torched served in a metal bowl surrounded by lightly toasted homemade bread. Our second tapas was tuna tartare and we loved it. My husband has always been a little resistant regarding tartars but I had to fight him for every bite. A different presentation than I am used to with the tuna cut in 1/2 inch squares. It was delicious. Would have loved to sample so many more but had to stop as we were full. Such a lovely team we do wish them well. Hello, thank you for coming to our house and reviewing us. We are very happy that you enjoyed your experience with us. We hope to host you again in the future. Thank you for so many great compliments, it's truly a great recognition of our work.
