Booked this place on strong recommendation and good reviews and it lived up to expectation. Small place just off the busy and commercialised Place Plumereau and felt more authentic with really nice atmosphere. Really interesting menu that the waiter was very happy to translate. Great food and a very good experience.

Took this restaurant on chance without checking any reviews. A very good choice. Only one minor hiccup, outside it said on the menu "English menu available inside". Unfortunately it was not and although the waitress provided excellent service throughout the meal, her English was very limited. We chose the 26 Euros three course menu, and took educated guesses for our selection. I chose what turned out to be steak served up with 'mashed' potatoes. The steak was tender and very tasty. The presentation of the dish was splendid. My wife chose the shoulder of lamb which again was beautifully presented and delicious. I felt safe with my choice of dessert as it was the house glacé. Yes it was ice cream, three boules of delicious homemade ice cream, the peach was particularly memorable. My wife's apricot Creme Anglaise was stunningly presented and had a taste to match.We supplemented our meal with Mojitos as an aperitif a bottle of sparkling water and ½ bottle of St Nicholas de Bourgeuil, the total bill less than 100â¬. We felt this was good value for the meal and service we had.
