Mode Kitchen & Bar offers a balance between casual bistro and fine dining, featuring simple dishes executed exceptionally, with generous and genuine hospitality and polished service.
Stopped by Mode to grab a quick snack after a day of sight-seeing. The Staff was especially kind, tracking down a nut-free bread option to accommodate my allergies. We went specifically for the oysters and they did not disappoint! The accompanying drinks were also very tasty. Great place to stop while in Circular Quay

I have eaten twice before at Aria over the last 15 years and really enjoyed it. This time my wife and I chose the 20 year celebration tasting menu (8 courses) which for the first few hours was enjoyable as food tasted excellent (very small portions) and service was also top class. 2.5 to 3 hrs in we began to get frustrated at the portion size and the time taken between servings. Meat courses were also small and the lamb loin had 5mm of un-renderred white fat around it and the meat was too tough to eat. With 2 dessert courses to go at 3 hours in we asked the waiter to serve our last dishes all at once and get us the bill - $500++ - not worth it, felt ripped off and felt they were elongating service to keep the restaurant looking full. No more Aria for us!!Hi John,Thanks for taking the time to write a review. We're sorry you were unhappy with our Tasting Menu. As our Dego Menu is 8 courses, we do estimate that the menu takes 3+ hours to complete to allow our guests time to digest and fully enjoy their meal. We do apologize that the pace was too slow for your enjoyment. We do hope you will join us again.Kindest, Team Aria

A stylish European restaurant and Wine Bar situated in the heart of the city.. Sydney Established 18 years with many regular diners Trading breakfast lunch and dinner with drinks, a long list of wines by the glass and classic cocktails
Lunched on back-to-back afternoons with business associates. Extensive menu complemented by specials (although they were the same both days, I think). I enjoyed the pasta both days, the ravioli one day and the papardelle the next. Really good wine selections. Very attentive staff. Across the street from Hyde Park, next to the Sheraton Hotel.

Welcoming staff who work very hard with those who eat or outside at the pavement tables and with the takeaway crowds. The flat white I ordered arrived quickly despite their busy-ness and was perfect while their very own take on a bacon and egg roll was excellent with the added tang of their BBQ sauce. But beware, the eggs are deliciously runny. And again it seemed that the hot food arrived very quickly. All in all a very enjoyable brekkie.
