Make a reservation like NOW - don't wait. This restaurant is the brainchild of Patricia LaCorte long time island resident and restauranteur and brilliant in everyway. Located way out on the point in French town this is most certainly one of the top restaurants on the island.She has several others in her porfolio but i won't ruin the surprise. You'll find out soon enough and you'll be hooked wanting to try them all - each with a unique flair and menu. Sometimes i wonder if she ever sleeps. Eat there once and you'll know why.

Quite remotely located in the St. Thomas âmountainâ area, this little gem surprised with warm delicate flavors the way we experienced Italian or Spanish fine food in Europe. Crab cakes as appetizer were the way they should be: smelling intensely, fluffy, with lots of crab and butter. Scallops with risotto was good, pork tenderloin with mashed potatoes very good. The downside: My wife ordered a glass of Pinot Noir, but we noticed it was a Merlot which was served, and asked the waiter about this; he admitted that they were out of Pinot and that he changed it for this âbetterâ wine, and that he would take it off the bill. Well, why didnât he say it when serving the wine? And he did not take it off the bill...

This was our 3rd or 4th choice after going to several others that were closed or closing soon. The Urban Eats is located at the cruise boat terminal, however this was a Thursday night (cruises come to St Thomas on M-W and explains why so many restaurants were not open or closed early). We ordered the mushroom appetizer, which tasted like it was frozen and warmed up in a microwave. The entrees were better and seemed freshly prepared. I would avoid the wine ...a stronger form of prune juice I think. That said, the service was attentive and friendly, which made the visit a âgoodâ experience. This worked in a pinch, but the is not a restaurant that I would necessarily seek out otherwise.Cheers!Hi Bret, Thanks for visiting us, we appreciate the business. Sorry but I dont believe in microwaves so I can assure you nothing was frozen. As for the wine, its $5/glass. During a slow off season while everyone is recovering from devastation I hardly think offering $12-14/glass house wine is respectful.
