Good local restaurant serving manly portions and with a decent wine list, try the Marques de Murrieta and visit the bodega too. Quirky lighting based on numerous lampshades and it was within walking distance of our hotel.Service was attentive but not intrusive.

The place is in the Old Town of Portugalete. The milieu is simple, decorated with local art and historical pictures. There were local people having their lunch.We ate lunch (12 euros) of three courses. As a starter we had a very traditional tuna salad. Main courses were chicken in a creamy sauce and calamares with onion and cabbage. Both tasted good but vere a bit too salty. The lunch was finished with a delicious brownie with ice-cream and a cup of espresso. A bottle of white wine, water and bread were included in the prise.Service was very quick and kind and english of the waitress was fluent. The price-quality relationship was excellent.

Me habÃan hablado demasiado bien de este restaurante para ser todo cierto.Probamos el menú txuleton, la carne muy rica, pero es lo único. Las cantidades excesivas, y el precio también. Yo recomendarÃa quitar el exceso de comida y rebajar el precio. Hay "menú txuleton" por menor precio en las cercanÃas.Y ES MUY TRISTE TIRAR LA COMIDA.
