We visited an old monastery Badia di Passignano in Greve. Close to this monastery we tried to have a light lunch at La Cantinetta di Passignano. The waiter /owner was very un helpful and could hardly understand what we asked. We also ask for their house bread which he never deliver to us , but did serve to other guests. The lunch was not good. (May be the waiter was a trainee during siesta).

We stumbled across this hidden Gem on our road trip around Italy. Driving through Greve in Chianti, in the rain, we noticed this quaint corner Restaurant that was serving grilled meats and Chianti. The owner was very sweet and accommodating. We were some of the first patrons in the restaurant so she was able to give us a full tour around their menu. The restaurant was cozy and rustic with a wood-burning oven. To start we ordered traditional Bruschetta with diced tomatoes and an eggplant terrine, which were super tasty. The second course was a Risotto with a pistachio cream sauce. It's flavor was delicate and outstanding. Our main course was a Filet of beef over a yoghurt cream sauce with baked tomatoes on the side. The beef melted in your mouth. Our meal was accompanied by a Savignola Paolina Chianti Classico Reserve recommended by the owner. We popped in this little apartment village one night - what a treat! A huge and very thin crispy fresh pizza - some great salad and all served by a very nice Italian. What's to say.... just amazing and for practically nothing!! I think it cost us about 10 euros each and yet in some ways it was one of the best meals we had throughout our stay - marvellous! We will now try to stay in the Village as the apartments look lovely and the price is so good.

We went here based on a recommendation from another restaurant and we loved it. Our server was friendly and very helpful with our choices. Three of us had their beef stew with roast potatoes and mixed grill vegetables and it was delicious. My husband had beef with arugula and parmigiana cheese and it was cooked to perfection. The cheese cake Sonia was also very good. We ate on there patio and it was a great experience!
