Find out what Contemporary restaurants to try in Saint Louis. The history of St. Louis has been heavily influenced by Westward expansion and blues music. The big "must-see" in this region is the Gateway Arch, while other important sites include the Museum of Westward Expansion, the St. Louis Cathedral and the Anheuser-Busch factory tour. The city offers plenty for the whole family. Children will enjoy the local zoo and the Magic House, while family members will also want to unwind at Forest Park, home to the World's Fair almost a century ago.

Great wine list and beers on tap
Buffalo Bison was VERY good. They only have one cab selection for wine by the glass and thankfully it was really good. Lots of beer choices. Pretzel beer cheese was really Good. Also had the trout and it was excellent. Atmosphere was also great (we sat at the bar).

Gourmet dining close to Ballwin in Valley Park. So nice to find a nearby quality restaurant without having to haul to mid town, south or downtown. Excellent fish, interesting/varied food boards with selections of fish or meats. Excellent wine list, unusual tasty sides, fabulous desserts! Although a bit pricey, since everything is ala carte, this is my new favorite place for special dinners with friends, birthdays, dates etc. There's another location in CWE. Can't wait to go back!

Found a table for 2 on short notice. The service was excellent. The wine list interesting. The food was perhaps one of the best meals I have had recently in St. Louis. Creative preparations with interesting presentations and combinations of flavors. The octopus confit was awesome, the vegetarian tortellini perfect and the scallops entry delicious. Sydney Street is now my top pick in St. Louis!
