Booked for Sunday lunch. Menu reflect local cuisine, which is what we wanted. Enjoyed the meal, traditional plates well cooked; nothing particularly wow. Did not really care for the decor, especially the clown paintings! Perhaps a bit old fashioned, but maybe that's just our taste. Overall, enjoyed our afternoon lunch.

The food was delicious-modern French with plenty of choice We arrived a little early(7.10) but this was not a problem and the service started at 7.30. The chef/owner's wife was very attentive and, having lived in the UK for several years spoke excellent English so out less-than excellent French did not matter. Even though it was a Monday evening the soon room filled with locals which is a recommendation in itself. A very pleasant evening with good food and wine.

Homemade seasonal cooking. Every week a new offer with a dish of meat / poultry, fish and vegetarian. Les Gens Heureux is opened for lunch on monday, tuesday, thursday, friday and saturday, AND on Thursday and Friday evenings (only)
Totally amazing restaurant with loads of choice fpr veggies and carnivores alike. The menu is short - just 3 or 4 choices at each course - which means everything is freshly cooked. Nothing obvious either - really original ideas using seasonal produce. There aren't many tables so arrive early or book ahead. The patronne was a delight, as were her staff: smiley, attentive, and very pretty! Can't wait to go back....

France's oldest Inn, on Rouen's old Market square. Traditional quality food with a great atmosphere.
This restaurant has a Michelin sticker in the window, I honestly donât know how it achieved that, and I intend to contact Michelin to ascertain why the gave it. The food was tasteless, and extremely expensive. If this restaurant was in the UK it certainly wouldnât get close to a Michelin as we have so many wonderful places to eat and they donât fleece you like this place did.Dear GuestWe really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience in our restaurant La Couronne. We are sorry to read how disappointed you were and be sure that we take note of your comments about the negative aspects of our restaurant.
