I have been returning to Casa Lopez with my family and with my friends many times since my last review. Chef Pablo continues to cook outstanding food with an interesting twist. The menu evolves but the essence remains: good food, great surprises, and an excellent use of spices and cooking techniques, accommodating the local taste but, at the same time, departing from what is conventional in Ferrol. Casa Lopez is a pioneer in bringing Thai, Mexican, Tex-Mex, Indian and other flavors to Ferrol. But what makes this place especial is that Pablo and his team continue to show immense enthusiasm in every meal, making small little details (like the marinated olives served in a wooden plate âwhich are outstanding), into something that prompts you to dream of being there again and again. The wine list is also surprising (with very good and affordable options) and the menu changes over time which makes a return always interesting. It is always hard to leave a dish out when it comes to choosing! Prices are absolutely reasonable given the amount of love and care from the kitchen. Thanks Pablo for being so humble and talented. We cannot wait to be back during the summer. Ferrol Mola! for sure!

Ok. When my friend asked me how brave I was feeling that night I thought to myself... "Brave?" "In Ferrol?" "You have to be kidding me!!!". We all know each other. We all know EVERYTHING that is going on! Despite my initial reaction, I decided to let my friend decide where we would be dining that night... The car stopped in front of Vanessa. "Here???" I could not believe it! Vanessa is one of those places from the 90s where we used to have ice cream during lazy-Sunday afternoons... Oh boy was I wrong... Dinner started with a small un-promising printed menu. There were approximately 20 small plates ranging from 2 to 10 euros. We ordered almost everything. Soon enough we realized that the chef (and yes, I call him chef), did not match the décor: it was a succulent succession of small delicacies, retaining the usual "tapas" style with a twist... The presentation of the tiny plates which, as bombs of flavor were landing at our table, was imaginative and tasteful. It is a tapas place, after all, but he was able to give delicacy to dishes as popular as cheese and anchovies... I left the place longing for more... Since then, I have visited Vanessa in two more occasions. Each time, I had a pleasant, accommodating experience. I have not met the chef in person yet but, from here, I can only say that he is what a restaurant needs: commitment, enthusiasm, candor and sensibility. All these over a plate of bravas. Please do not miss. I give it 4 stars because of the décor, however, maybe, that is what makes this place so fascinating... I do not know...

CASALEXO is a meeting place, tapas and wines, shared lunches, conversations and nights of joy. Our cuisine is simple, fresh, seasonal and with no complications, attached to the product and the flavors of the land and the sea, which we find every day in th

The whole Street is packed with amazing restaurants. And Frank is no exception. The food was simply amazing, prepared perfectly. The ambience was good and staff could be a little bit more attentive (1 waitress on a busy night is not enough) but other than that dining in Frank was one of the more enjoyable experiences

A very wide selection of traditional Galician, as well as many other food choices. Prices were very reasonable, service was very attentive, and the restaurant was right in the heart of town with good shopping very near. A highly recommended place to dine while on the Camino.

We have now made 2 visits to this brand new restaurant in Ares. The short statement is food amazingly good with a beautiful fresh sea bass as a main on our first visit. Starters zamburiñas pulpo in 2 forms one with black garlic - mmm so good they served croquetas not normally a favourite but they were good the second meal we were told they had fresh mussels, cockles and clams - so good. The main of sollomillo on the 2nd visit beautiful. My grandson Tristan asked me to mention the desserts which were also encroyable. I canât overstate how good the food was and the service from Patricia was outstanding. Honestly 5 stars for everything We are happy to have served you. Thank you so much for your visit, we hope to see you soon!

Verano
We live in this part of the world for three months every year and always visit La Solana just once - it is very good but the menu has not changed in fifteen years so it could get boring if visited more frequently. This time we went for dinner and we're not disappointed high quality produce, carefully prepared and served by polite and not over attentive staff. The "amuse bouche " is always so large that we Only order three starters between four as we know they are also very large . Octopus- the best I have ever tasted. A different salad with dried fruit, cheeses and nuts and the ever popular croquetas.Rather boringly we all had entrecôte steak - real steak - not ternera which is like rose veal. Two home made puddings between us, two bottles of Ribera de Duero, Coffee and Brandy- 200 euros including a large tip (not really necessary but we only once or twice a year
