Had to stand in line to order but it went fast. We shared a cold sub sandwich, and a turkey ruben with sauerkraut instead of coleslaw, and with our two can drinks and a bottle of water the bill was 23.00! Not much meat on sandwiches. Barely a teaspoon of sauerkraut but we do want to try their dinner menu sometime when we are in the area again. Nice place and friendly staff!

Love this place... Every time we're in town, we eat at Hops & Barleys, whether for lunch or dinner (and sometimes both). The menu is varied enough for everyone to find something good to eat, and it has some unique items (burger on a donut). FOOD: Soups are so so good. The Manhattan Clam Chowder was perfectly seasoned, while the 'soup of yesterday' was a mushroom soup that was a perfect mix of mushroom and rice. The burgers are a good size, very tasty and always cooked as ordered. The pierogies and sausage was a good mix of both. Chocolate cake was good but the the layers of frosting were thicker than the cake- but is that a bad thing. Interior/Decor - the bar and restaurant are well separated. The restaurant area is dark and decorated with pictures from the past. Service is always very good.

Delicious and mildly spiced! The environment is friendly and relaxed. The hostess and the server were each really sweet and personable. They didn't make us feel rushed at all. Before our server brought the check, she brought out some tea for us, which finished things of nicely. While the prices were a little higher than I'd usually go for, the portions were so big, what we paid was reasonable. In fact, we ended up taking half of our meals home with us. I'm looking forward to my leftovers!
