Since it opened, Iâve been recommended 50-50 by many but had so far failed to get in the door. I was invited to a friendâs birthday celebration so at last had my chance to see, taste, hear what all the fuss was about.As a group we opted for starters and mains as opposed to the 6/9/12 course option.Both courses presented a really great mix of complimentary flavours and, particularly with my starter, a combination I thought pushed the envelope.The service from both Eddy and his colleague was excellent.The dishes that Helen creates in the open kitchen are both beautifully presented and equally tasty. Went with a group of friends and overall it was a very pleasant evening. The highlight was the food - simply outstanding, but unfortunately the service was not matched by the service, quite poor all-around, junior staff tried hard but lead waitress was a negative influence. From a business perspective our drinks bill could have easily doubled had the staff been attentive.
