In a prime location in the centre of a town busy with visitors and sporting a very modern look, this is a business that should be outstanding. The service was very mediocre - on two occasions we had to remind staff of our "lost" orders. The local wines were substantially marked up compared to other local restaurants. If the wine list, selection process, cellar ambience service was exceptional you might excuse the prices but none of those attributes applied. We chose the "Chef's selection" of five courses and were under whelmed when the first arrived with "Dill Cucumbers" that were tiny vinegar soaked gerkins imported from somewhere rather than the easily available local product. There were no memorable flavours -0h well yes - the gin flavoured icecream is certainly something I will avoid in future! With so many regional food options across the Valley, Musque needs to find a point of difference and work on it. 300 Gins available is not enough

The heart of Barossa hospitality, 1918 Bistro & Grill occupies a 100 year old home boasting roaring open fires. The charming ambience, hearty fare and friendly service has long been enjoyed by Barossans. Our iconic restaurant is a must visit for anyone se
Tanunda is in the midst of some of the best wines in Australia and the World. Restaurant choices are also expanding. 1918 is set in a beautifully restored Australian returned verandah house. We were able to sit outside and admire the well kept garden and take in the cooling breeze. Lunch was exceptional. The ROASTED DUCK BREASTSpring Succotash, Green Pea Pure was amazing. Good size serve and well presented. My partner had the GRILLED BEEF EYE FILLET MSASweet Potato, Herb Polenta Chips, Thyme Jus - perfect Gluten Free meal. Washed down with a Pinot Gris or two. Take a wonder in the Town and pop into 1918.

Overpriced and expensive corkage for a cafe/restaurant - locals will try, however we had expectations that it would be a location and price point for great casual dining (on going) with friends and familyHi 272rej,Thank you for your review however we are not a cafe and donât pretend to be. Our prominent sign at the front of our venue saying âBar & Grillâ indicates what we are. We are sorry you are disappointed with our corkage price of $15 per bottle however if you compare it with other venues in the region you will find we are still very reasonably priced. We hope you enjoyed the quality of our food and we would certainly welcome you to dine with us again. We're new, proudly local and family owned, so as an Angaston resident we encourage your ongoing patronage.
