The Dean

Booked the steak night on Friday 25th October and were not disappointed. Ordered Chateaubriand and when this arrived looked amazing. The taste matched the look and we were extremely happy. The desert of banana baked Alaska and the deconstructed cheesecake were also excellent. The waitress service was excellent and with full view of the kitchen could see exactly what was going on a busy working kitchen. The cocktails were good and the old fashioned finished the night off well. Would definitely recommend. A valued addition to this area. Can't wait to return.

Staff are amazing, especially Tomas. Always an enthusiastic, warm welcome to be had whether you’ve booked ahead (recommend you book ahead!) or turned up on a whim!Tuesdays are great value for money. Check out the paella deals. The paella is authentic and delicious!Fridays are good to enjoy free pinchos with the drinks, they are not always the same. Had delicious rabbit terrain amongst the usual suspects of tortilla and meats and cheese.Calamari is always excellent (take note Ego!). Hot, fresh, tasty and cooked to perfection.Excellent cocktails on offer and value for money.Sangria usually good but not great last time, tasted stale and unbalanced. Still, it was nearing the end of the night and we had had enough.Patatas bravas hit and miss, more roast potato than great potatoes with spicy sauce and aoili.Highly recommended for tapas. No salads or healthy choices which needs to be addressed! Not the Russian salad either. More fish please!

Have visited a few times and always been lovely but was disappointed on last visit. Not trying to moan just giving some feedback. We sat in the bar (have only ever sat in restaurant before) and ordered food. The bar staff were all lovely. The starters took a very long time to come out which would have been fine if we had been advised there was a wait? The sour faced waitress plonked the starters down and walk off without telling us where the cutlery was, leaving me having to go and find it. After this we sat with the dirty plates for a good half an hour, there was no sign of the mains or anyone clearing the plates. My friend had to go to the bar and ask after the mains. It must have been at least half an hour later when the mains came out, and they were disappointing and not up to usual standard. Curry was almost cold and burger looked old and dried up, my boyfriend ate the chips but left the whole burger. It seemed as though the food had been left waiting in the kitchen for a long time before coming out to us. We then sat with dirty plates for two hours (this isn’t an exaggeration, I kept an eye on the time) before anyone cleared us. I understand it can be busy but the waiting on staff just seemed slow, disinterested and not very friendly at all. As I mentioned the girls on the bar were lovely. Will probably visit again but will go back to the restaurant side next time!Hi Erin S, we'd really like the opportunity to turn around your experience, we appreciate you are a regular guest and are aware this is far below our usual standards. We strive for every guest to receive the highest standard of service throughout our bar and restaurant and are disappointed to hear we didn't meet expectations on this occasion. We would love to rectify this experience upon your return and hope to see you again soon.
