Here is a relatively new restaurant. Their bakery goods can't be beaten, meals have been good but what I like are their desserts. At one time they had a Cuban Brulee that was to die for. Fortunately I didn't die, so when it wasn't on the menu I tried coconut lime cheesecake. How many desserts can I eat in one sitting? Tihe only item I've had that I did not like was the coffee It was better this month than the other times I've tried it.. After eating check out the bakery, ice cream and some wonderful meats.

We love the idea of a sustainable vegetarian diet, but unfortunately, sometimes restaurants with excellent intentions ruin a first-timer's attempt at a vegan/vegetarian meal by doing a crumby job with their food. The pastries at Shambala were dry and unappetizing (due to the vegan baking methods, we were told); the poutine (new item on the menu) was horrid (the waitress didn't even know that poutine was a Canadian stable) - and the Mediterranean salad lacked any visible olives - the basis of that type of salad altogether! Maybe they were having an off-day, but the problem is that when your first shot at a vegetarian dish fails this dramatically, even the best, ecologically intention is shot down in flames. Step up your game, Shambala, or you'll be turning people off the notion of becoming more Earth-friendly in their diets. Thanks for sharing your candid returns, but it is a surprising review for us because we definitely hear more typically how uniquely remarkable our items are...as we also aspire to have Vegan items that are devoured by carnivores with equal enjoyment. We have the same mission, to provide delicious plant based options the whole family will enjoy and this is a regular acknowledgment from our customers that we have achieved just that. Hope you will join us again, we have had some staff in the kitchen that have been revolved with alternative talents~
