Things to do in Mornington
The Lounge Room Bar & Bistro in Mornington is a stylish and comfortable venue offering great drinks, food and exceptional customer service.
AWESOME....Great place to chill and relax and watch the world go by. Lovely nibbles of dumplings, dips and a cheese platter shared with my mum and sister over a cheeky cocktail ( get around the BMW its a winner ) Great job Jo and Daryl. Till next time xx
Dropped into the Carbine for a late lunch.Atmosphere pleasant and waiter attentive. The tables and chairs look rustic/ wooden but are comfortable. The coffee was made to our descriptions and both were delicious. The emals were large and very very tasty. This place is worth the effort of finding because the food and drink are tasty. The cafe offers unisex toilet with wheelchair access .The cafe is able to be booked for parties by arrangement and all meals I have tried have been tasty .

On our last night we chose this lovely place. Weekdays a cafe and Friday and Saturday night opening with a wider range of meals.Chorizo and prawn pasta was a beauty with a kick. Then for dessert, pancakes with berries and rhubarb AND ice cream ... So tasty. Not disappointed with any of our choices.Service was friendly and down to earth .Hopefully back again soon !

A fine dining cafe encouraging the use of seasonal and local produce. A luxury spin on the typical brunch dining experience.
Stopped here for lunch with a friend. Unfortunately not the experience we hoped for. The atmosphere however is redeeming. A nice clean open light space. Friendly staff on entering. Comfortable tables and seating. A nice peek a view of a slightly open kitchen. Just don't use the bathroom. Single toilet crammed in down the back with dry urine on the seat. Clearly hasn't had a clean in a while. Gross! Leaves the rest of the interior efforts wanting. The menu was yet another disappointment. Very little variety and hefty cafe prices for not much reward. Giving in, I opted for simple eggs on toast. The presentation of the food is quite lovely. Plating is done well. But sadly food is inconsistently cooked. Tucking in I found one egg to be on the side of underdone. Not being shy for a raw-ish egg I tucked in (Luckily I'm not the precious kind of pregnant at the moment that I have a hissy over underdone eggs). Finishing this I began on the other egg- over cooked and dry/crumbly. How does that happen? Did my eggs get cooked alongside another patrons dish leaving one behind in the pan? A simple poaching should see consistency. When the most simple dish on the menu can't be executed well, I thank my stars I didn't venture into one of the more fancied up options. It would have been a poor investment with little satisfaction. There was also little menu choice for anyone who eats meat. That's ok, if that's what you market for, but personally I found the menu to be confused. I can however praise my lime milkshake. It was refreshing.

Gods Kitchen is a relaxed and unique dining destination with great Live Music and a menu with Asian inspired share dishes, pub classics and pizzas, our menu changes seasonally with a couple of staple dishes standing the test of time.
Absolutely love gods kitchen! Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and beautiful food. Every meal that came to the table looked amazing, & tasted even better. Will be back!

Came for breakfast with a friend, was nice and quick service, but just be warned there is a credit card surcharge and ALSO a surcharge for dining on a Sunday... I donât mind paying a public holiday surcharge but for a regular Sunday it makes me think the owners are a bit money hungry.

I received a birthday dinner offer from The Winey Cow recently. Usually we have breakfast or brunch and the food is lovely. This is the first time we had dinner there. A small selection on menu, more like a casual light dinner menu... they have small and large plates... just an idea they have a beautiful scotch fillet steak with delicious mushrooms and polenta chips (which we both had and loved), Japanese wonton style ramen soup... etc.. we also had their soft shelled crab and slaw bao with spicy French fries, a special dish for last night. We shared that followed by a steak each and ordered a Balinese salad to share. The staff are very friend and helpful. Nice ambience in the cafe... and also fully licensed. We will definitely go back there for dinner...
