Went to the Red Fish Grill on the Saturday before Halloween when all of Bourbon Street seemed to be going crazy. I was able to get service in the bar area immediately and the servers were extremely attentive even with all the commotion going on. Loved the jambalaya and pecan pie.

The original Brennan's, opened in 1946, recently emerged from an extensive renovation that spared no effort or expense by new co-owners Terry White and Ralph Brennan. Eight glamorous dining rooms, each steeped in New Orleans architecture and ambiance, cel
Our last visit was in 1973 with the Rooster Menu that we took home and framed. We opted for brunch this time and were not disappointed. Eggs Hussard etc were all terrific. The service staff is excellent, "waiters who wait", not intrusive but there if you need anything (unlike another Brennan family venue, Commanders Palace, where the service is downright intrusive). Our 9 AM reservation was promptly seated and the elegance began. Every day should start in such a beautiful setting with such an outstanding meal.

The former 1910 pharmacy in the neighborhood has amazing history turning our excellent chefs in the last 30 years and it can be experienced. It is so Nola that it does not even need a sign out front. The quality and service was impeccable and would recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy a NOLA dinner experience that is not touristy!

But perfect after a day at Jazz Fest!! Issac Toup, chef from Season 13 of Top Chef's final four, has created a happy, easy going (m)eatery, with a big bar, a great manager who knows how to treat the customers and a menu that truly surprises. You will find food there that you won't see elsewhere. Get the chicken liver mousse (a side dish but huge and rich), OMG, so not my thing, but my brother insisted on ordering and it was eating molten fois gras! The pickle plate was bright and yummy, the Louisiana crab claws app was like 40 tiny peeled pinkies! Pristine fresh and I asked for a bit of remoulade type sauce and dipped them and used the sauce also for the grilled artichokes, which came underdone but the manager whisked them away and returned with a brand new perfectly cooked plate of artichokes. The Boudin Balls were so delicious we ordered two of them. The Waygu Beef main course was delicious, but was oddly lukewarm, and when I mentioned it, this same manager took it off the bill. I will return and will try the pastrami wrapped duck breast, and the doberge which issalted caramel, peanut butter, bacon!!!!

Boucherie was recommended by several musicians we know. The location is uptown just off of Carrollton St. The restaurant is in a small house. You feel like you are dining in a friendâs home. Very cozy and casual. The food is off the charts good. Very creative Southern food with an Asian twist. We started with the mussels with collard greens. Simply outstanding! Our entrees and cocktails were excellent as well. We love the bartender- very friendly and engaging. Prices were reasonable. Both my husband and I walked out of Boucherie with big smiles.

We were here on a Wednesday night, with reservations, and were seated promptly, in a very nice place. We chose the special ârestaurant weekâ menu, and were very pleased. Good clean place, good service, outstanding food, and valet parking. Itâs a very noisy place when full so be forewarned. A neighborhood gem, mostly locals dining, nice bar, large group private dining room upstairs, view of the live oaks in City Park.
