We had a lovely dinner for 6 people - ask for the round table as it is near the window and you get the evening light. The food was excellent and most enjoyable - a good selection from the set price menu which was also reasonable. Good atmosphere and the staff were most attentive, it took some time to pay the bill because of the credit card machine!!

Booked a table as we had been several times before; had the round one in the middle at which it is impossible to have a conversation. Noise is deafening. Table was sticky and dirty, and although the waitress did wipe it, it just left a rim of sticky fluff around the table edge. Menu unappealing, so only two of our party ate. Mussels lacked flavour; fish and chips very ordinary, and chips so big some were not cooked through. Coffee acidic and had an unpleasant flavour (may be alright if you add milk, but not good it you don't.) Won't be going back, which is a shame as it's in a great location.

This pub restaurant is clean, tidy and you get a big welcome from the staff. Itâs a beautiful setting for lunch and we both ordered roast lamb. It was presented perfectly and tasted just like you had cooked it at home. Everything was hot tasty and served perfectly. Portions were big too. We chose the local Cornish cheeseboard for dessert and were treated to 5 local cheeses and they all tasted superb. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. Just one word of caution please book in advance as the restaurant gets very busy.
