Called in for lunch and had the most delicious and filling pork dumpling laksa!! Everyone else enjoyed their galettes too. Unfortunately just passing through or I'd become a regular. Perfect balance of flavors. Good coffee too!
This little gem is tucked behind the main shops in Huapai, North West Auckland opposite the police station. The best meal on the menu is smoked salmon with watercress and pear salad. The size is plentiful and the taste smokey and delicious. This is the best smoked salmon I have had in New Zealand. It is a healthy and delicious meal. The other meals are fresh local fish and a variety of steaks...all delicious with potato and salad or fresh steamed vegetables. The home made peanut butter and ginger icecream is a must.

This is a great location with large nicely kept gardens, however service was slow having to wait too long for meals. Server spilt food on back of one guest and the children's so called lunch box is a disgrace containing smoked cheese and dried bread with some contents missing for an exorbitant price. A plate of chips with a piece of fish on top should have been better presented for the money charged. And no one returned with the desert menu!. Shame really, nice spot for lunch but low grade food and sloppy management. Needs a shake up. Sorry wont be back.

Located on the terrace of the Aotea Centre, Box Café and Bar offers great coffee, delicious sweet and savoury cabinet food and a selection of local and international wines.
We ended up here when the other bar we planned to go to was closed. It is quite a nice place with plants surrounding the tables. The addition of astroturf made it feel garden like. The place wasn't too loud so we could have conversations and we were able to people watch across Aotea Square. The toilets were located inside Aotea center and the bar did close quite early (around 20:00).Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback here.
