What a gem in the Crossroads District of downtown KC....and right on the streetcar line! Nothing real exciting or German from the exterior or interior really either, but the food is excellent. The menu appreciates some of the traditional German fare and explodes with a new and modern vibe yet in the German tradition as well. The charcuterie plate is scrumptous! Home made German meats with some cheeses, pickles, a nice fresh salad and tomatoes on the plate paired with homemade breads, also in the German heavy bread style. Rabbit and pheasant dishes are a wonderful surprise on the menu in addition to the traditional wiener schnitzel and spatzle. They should make a combination plate so one doesn't have to choose. BUT the real star of the menu is their steaks...yes, you read that correct! They have a special supplier of Waygu beef!!! What a thrill, a treat, and oh so delectable! That Waygu sirloin would rival any prime filet mignon in the city! Just amazing. A lovely dessert menu, extensive wine and beer menu as well. Do not miss this little German Gem!Thank you so much for taking the time to post this wonderful review of our restaurant! We very much appreciate this and look forward to seeing you again!

Monday lunch. Webster House is a great location for a business lunch, a wedding, or another special event. We all enjoyed our fresh salads and sandwiches, but four people for lunch ran $90 with no alcohol. The downstairs is a women's clothing store, and the upstairs is the restaurant and meeting rooms. Free street parking or a garage across the street. Attentive service.

Our meal was delicious. I had the chef's shrimp special over rice. My husband had the filet. Both were excellent. The service was great. We were a little concerned at first because almost no one else was there, bu more people came and the atmosphere became vibrant.

JJ's is one of the oldest independent restaurants in the Kansas City area. We have recently moved 800 ft away from our old location, to the main lobby of the new Polsinelli building in the west plaza area. We have a very contemporary dining menu and one o
We dined at JJ's on a recent visit to the Country Club Plaza. The wine list and menu were both extensive and varied....there is something for everyone. The restaurant décor is beautiful with upscale light fixtures, finishes and lots of beautiful ledgestone. The food was just OK - I ordered the boar ragu with parpadelle; my husband ordered a filet and mashed potatoes. Both portions were large. My husband's steak was partially underdone. He ordered it prepared medium and as he got to the end of it, part of it was raw. Our server never offered bread service; we were told we had to request it. We were out of town guests dining at JJ's for the first time and would have no idea we had to request bread service. When we asked for bread, she brought a basket of both crispy and soft bread items which were delicious. She never, however, brought us bread plates. Overall, she seldom checked on our dining experience, asked whether our food was to our liking or if we needed anything. We felt her service was average at best. Our bill was well over $100. We expected more value and a better experience for the price. The restaurant has underground parking and will validate it for restaurant diners which was a plus. We're uncertain if we'll return. There are many outstanding restaurants on the Country Club Plaza.

Comfortable, calming and chic, Café Trio draws a diverse clientele of urban dwellers, on-the-town suburbanites and tourists who strike up lively conversations over classically inspired craft cocktails and beautifully imagined seasonal, from-scratch dishes
Our group of 15 had a pleasant dinner in a private room overlooking the downstairs section, where a piano player entertained. Everyone injoyed the entrees (steak, salmon, and chicken). The room had very interesting wall decor (art from 1950s "men's magazines).

Gram & Dun brings culinarily-driven fare, while paying special attention to pairing food with libations. It's a place "for the people" where we can relax and enjoy the neighborhood vibe while we test theories of food, drink and the evolution of good times
A colleague of mine suggested I visit Gram & Dun while in KC for a business trip because it was a good restaurant with a really nice patio. I can only say I agree. Unfortunately I canât say anything about the food because I didnât have any since I had already eaten, but I really wanted to visit so I went there for dessert. I had the Gram & Dun bar which was just absolutely delicious. Also it was very warm so I sat inside but the staff was kind and let me sit by the windows so I could at least look out at the cosy patio. Iâd love to go back for a meal one day, but for now I can definitely recommend this place for dessert.
