Stopped in for dinner tonight. Wonderful place. Lots of stuff on the menu and we decided to start with the beef carpaccio which was good. My wife liked her filet sliders and I liked my short rib sliders. Rachel, our server was excellent. Friendly, efficient, checked back and didn't auction off the food. Prices were not bad and like I said, this was the best overall meal of our trip. Well worth stopping by.

I finished a morning of beach clean up and decided to stop by Chow Daddy's on my way home for a takeout lunch. I've driven by there many times on my way to Coligny Beach. We first learned about Chow Daddy's when it was featured on "Diners, Drivers and Dives" a couple of years ago. I looked at the menu in the "Fork and Fun" restaurant guide before leaving home and decided on the "Roasted Vegetables" from the Hot Bowl section. I arrived just after the11:30 a.m. opening time. There was one other couple seated at a table and me. Mary greeted me promptly, gave me a menu and asked that I wait in the bar area. Since I had already decided on my choice, I ordered right away. While I was waiting, I walked around the restaurant. There is a mix of tables and booths. The windows are covered in an eclectic mix of burlap bags sewn together which adds to the rustic feel of the place. There are several tv's scattered throughout the restaurant; each one televises a different station. I thought the music was too loud making it difficult to carry on a conversation. Not wasting any time, I observed my waitress polishing windows and another gloved waiter setting up tables.My Roasted Vegetable Bowl arrived quickly: seasoned ricotta, kale and quinoa, roasted mushrooms, sweet potatoes and brussels sprouts. I can do without the sprouts but husband said they were delicious. The bowl was too much for one serving so I have left overs for another time. I thought the $17.00 price was high for a non-meat dish. I justified the cost, though, since I had two meals out of it. On my next visit, Iâll try the salmon bowl.

Hadn't been here for a while and had forgotten how good the food is. The service was friendly if a bit slow and the restaurant was on the cold side (it really doesn't need to be freezing). However, the food was great, if a bit expensive and we will definitely return.Glad you enjoyed your meal! Sorry to hear the temperature was on the cold side for you. We try to set it in the middle to accommodate all of our guests. Next time please let us know and we'll be happy to adjust it if we can.
