We went there spontaneously, but were kindly offered two seats although the restaurant is normally booked out. The food was very high level, but still the portions were quite satisfying. Everything is homegrown and the meat and fish is sourced locally, which you can definitely taste. Staff was very friendly and even packed us something to go. Thanks for that. We can definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone staying the area.

Great coffee and food in a relaxing atmosphere on a lake. This was the best coffee we had in our two week stay in South Africa and the Belgian waffles and quiche were very good also. We visited several mornings after discovering Shiloh.

This restaurant boasts a venison menu so I was disappointed to be told there was no venison pie. I then chose the fish and chips which was offered at the extremely good price of R40. This was perfectly cooked. My husband opted for the turkey pie.Unfortunately only half the pie was filled so my husband left the unfilled half. The waitress dealt with this very well by bringing another pie. My husband opened it to find even less filling so didn't eat of it. The waitress said she had shown it to the manager but we received no apology and to make matters worst we still had to pay full price for the meal. This is certainly not the way to ensure customers will return
