We ate here last month and had a wonderful meal and experience. We ate here again with friends to introduce them to this restaurant and we were embarrassed and disappointed. Our waitress seemed indifferent and not friendly or engaging. After waiting for 20 minutes for our food, the waitress came over and told his the kitchen had gotten "backed up" so it would be another 15 minute wait. The restaurant was not busy at all. The real disappointment was with the food. My wife and I ordered tomato fresh mozzarella salad. The salads were were truly horrid. No salt and the quality of the tomatoes were truly terrible. I tasted my wife's salad to see if it was just mine, and honestly, a restaurant of this calibre should not serve poor quality ingredients. The tomatoes were mushy, flavorless and tasteless. We ordered the 1/2 chicken which again, was an amateurish creation at best. The skin was so salty and the tzatziki sauce that it sat in was bland. The side dishes (mushrooms, spinach, whipped potatoes and fries) were all very good and better than the main courses. Spending almost $500 for dinner and walking away feeling ripped off is never a good feeling. This could have been an off night, but I think Michael Symon really needs to send in some people to have dinner and see what they are getting for the money. I would not recommend this restaurant to people after this experience.

Hudson Cafe had a very large selection of creative and standard brunch choices. We tried the Waffle, Eggs, Ham, Fruit & Pancakes, and Omelet. All were beautifully presented and delicious. The staff was efficient and helpful. Portions were very large - large enough for two meals!

This restaurant is in a refurbished and updated building from its older days. Situated on the Detroit River, with a park view in front of you, watch a sunset, a freighter passing by, people using the boardwalk, and enjoy a delicious meal. Our group was greeted as our coach drove up, and we were ushered to our reserved riverfront tables. Water and mugs were waiting our beverage choices. Pre-selected choices of entree were prepared as we enjoyed a fabulous salad, rolls and room temperature butter (yes). The entree was quickly brought to us, very warm (yes), and followed by a delicious dessert. A perfect meal before a theater performance. The servers were super attentive. A great choice, and will gladly return.
