What could have been a great family gathering, ruined by poor service! The staff are more interested in pouring themselves drinks than serving customers. We had to ask for our drinks order to be taken twice, then wait to make eye contact to order our kids meals. I had to walk over to ask for our order to be taken. No condiments offered, no pepper on the tables. Another boring wait for us to order deserts. The food was tasty, cocktails nice... service ...Zero points! We're sorry to read this and would like to investigate further as your review doesn't sound like the standard of service we pride ourselves on at Home Bar & Kitchen. If you could email details of the time and date of your visit to [email protected] we can investigate. Many thanks.

Honestly awful. They have no idea what they're doing with allergens, which means they're taking a huge risk in making people ill.The manager admitted to me that neither the food on the Vegan Menu or Gluten free menu was entirely Vegan or Gluten free due to contamination, so when I asked him why on earth they were advertising them as that, he first said it was for people that were "Vegans for the fun of it" and then said "Gluten free for the fun of it". I quickly reminded him that there is nothing "fun" about being Gluten Free.. specially as most people are gluten free due to Celiac Disease or an intolerance. As someone who is also intolerant to egg and dairy, I was excited to find out that this restaurant had both a gluten free and vegan menu, however the fact they take neither of these issues seriously is absolutely disgusting and I would urge anyone who is a sufferer of those not to visit the restaurant. On a more positive note, I was aware that the manager was trying to do his best to help us, and of course did not write the menu himself, or have control over it, but more needs to be put in place to prevent an awful allergen incident happening.
