As part of the Overseas Adventure Travel tour group with 16 members, we enjoyed three excellent nights at Antica Dimora Alla Rocca Hotel. The tour company had arranged for a buffet breakfast each morning, and evening meals as well. Both are excellent, but evening meals exceeded expectations. As with any restaurant, superior service is half the experienceâand La Prepositura has that in spades! I donât recall the serverâs name, but the single ladies in our group were aflutter. I donât know who flirted more, he or the ladies⺠When travelling, I prefer local cuisine and ask servers for recommendations, their menu favorite. After all, they also dine at the restaurant, so they know which have the most robust flavors. The wines were of local origin and flowed throughout dinner, perhaps a bit too much. There was also a sparkling wine available at breakfastâhair of the dog⺠Even if youâre not staying at ADAR Hotel, enjoy a dining experience at this fabulous restaurant in a restored historic building.

Made the journey up the hill to The magnificent view with a good bunch of fellow imbibers and foodies which made the night a true value experience. An ancient old slaughter house decked out as a part gallery part walkway of life. Set courses menu and all the alcohol u could drink for E 30 pp .we opened with glasses of bubbles and anchovies pastries as tasters. The anti pasto individual plates very pert and moorish.....followed by Tartufo eggs.....pasta.......gnocchi.....fillet veal then the denouement of oven baked rich chocolate puns. We drank....danced....played music and had a rollicking time.......numero uno in this latest Italian journey.

As part of a Collette tour, we participated in a cooking class and enjoyed the meal the chef prepared using the food items we made which included roughly cut pasta, ravioli, focaccia, tiramisu and semi-freddo. The staff was great to work with and we learned a lot about traditional Italian cooking in the Umbrian region. After the class (while the chef worked his magic), we enjoyed a tour of the adjacent village led by the chef's son. The area is beautiful and I would recommend this to people who enjoy preparing food.
