Reviews on Contemporary food in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Australia’s third-largest city, Brisbane is the hub of Queensland culture, offering a peek at the past and a glimpse into the future. Visit the historic Windmill and Old Commissariat Store, built by convicts in 1828, or fast-forward to the present (and beyond) with a trip to the new Gallery of Modern Art. Mingle with locals atop Mount Coot-tha, cruise the Brisbane River to South Bank’s sandy beach on the City Cat and make sure to fill the cuteness quota at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, home to koalas and kangaroos.

Six of us had lunch at this wonderful restaurant last week. We ordered the three course meal for $80 which in fact turned out to be very generous as beautiful amuse- bouches & homemade breads were interspersed throughout & handmade mandarin jellies & caramels were served after our dessert. The entree, main & dessert were impeccably cooked & presented. This would have to be the most exciting food in Brisbane at the moment .

We were a group of 20 and had a dedicated room for dinner. The set menu had four choices for each of entree, main and dessert - all high calibre but described in esoteric language rather than plain English!Everyone enjoyed their meal, the wines were excellent, and the desserts exquisite, although half the diners had left by the time dessert was served more than 2.5 hours after our arrival.Hi, Thank-you for taking the time to review us. We are glad you had a delicious meal however we will pass your comments about the slow service on. We hope that you visit us again soon for another great feast.

Beautiful meal with so many unusual choices. Cooking is my passion so when I go out I want to order meals that I cant cook at home and this restaurant certainly offers this. Presentation is outstanding and the inclusion of Australian Native produce is very clever.Thank you for taking the time to write your positive review. We are pleased you enjoyed your dining experience with us.

Had an excellent dinner at Billycart last Sat night with my husband. We totally indulged and had cocktails, lovely bottle of wine and three courses. Everything was delicious from start to finish. Loved the cocktails! So creative. Service was spot on. Best meal in Brisbane for a long time. Definitely going back this time will take a group of friends and share the love!
