Anthony's Cheesecake is a cozy little restaurant on Washington St. In Bloomfield. The Entrees and appetizers are what you could call creative. They served "Irish Nachos" on St. Patrick's day. On other days they will have dishes that are a flair up and above the usual fare. Anthony and his staff are very personable. This is becoming a Bloomfield Institution. BYOB but they take good care of you. There is parking in a lot just a few feet around the corner. Easy to get to.

First, this is a bring your own booze place. There is a liquor store a block away so you can buy your stuff there. The restaurant is very accommodating in regard to whatever you bring in to drink. The service was excellent. The food was very good. We tried the Barada cheese, which is handmade⦠Delicious. We also had the veal and beef meatballs for an appetizer. It was huge! I had the scallops with cauliflower purée and it was delicious. The desserts were great too. Definitely a neat place, even though itâs quite small. Make a reservation using OpenTable.

The savory menu here has expanded quite a lot since our last visit. So many great choices! We shared the homemade ricotta with roasted hazelnuts (fabulous), served with warm toasted baguette. The sweet potato gnocchi was absurdly delicious! Light, served with crispy shallots and sheer heaven. Chicken satay was a twist I The Thai classic and was quite tasty. Too full for dessert, I will surely leave room the next time. Itâs BYOB and I would suggest reservations.
