Fully-licensed local independent eatery run by two brothers, on Ecclesall Road, Sheffield. Serving relaxed eclectic brunch menus and contemporary seasonal British evening menus. *Please note - we are closed 18th-28th August for our summer holiday
My wife had booked this restaurant for my birthday and from the moment we walked in we felt very relaxed. When our waitress came with the menus she explained each item on the menu and recommended a wine. Whilst waiting for our starters our waitress brought a sample starter for us to try, the food throughout the evening was excellent. Thanks for a great evening and looking forward to our next visit.Hello,Thank you so much for leaving us such a glowing review. We're glad that you had an enjoyable, relaxed evening with us and that you appreciated all our little extra touches. We hope to see you back again very soon, our menu changes weekly so there will be new dishes for you to enjoy! Best wishes, Juke and Loe

We were out and about with friends and just popped in for coffee and cake. Lovely welcome and lovely atmosphere for a Saturday morning. Coffee was excellent and the Bakewell and flapjack were delicious. Would love to go back to sample the food soon

Love this pub, my husband and I love eating here food always freshly cooked , salad basic but well presented and always fresh , staff are so friendly and are always very helpful , nothing is too much trouble 10/10 for us , yes the tables are sticky and the decor is dated but all that just adds to the character of the place ,

The staff here were great. They had enquired on booking about any dietary requirements and had prepared a dairy free menu specially for us. Lovely lounge where we had cocktails before the meal and then nice dining area. Beautifully presented food which tasted excellent. Really enjoyed our choices including delicious dessert. Coffee and petit fours to finish. Really nice evening in a relaxed but stylish hotel. Service was slow but it suited us. Not somewhere to go if youâre in a rush but for us it perfect

Traditional English Tearooms set in the beautiful village of Castleton
Came here for a spot of lunch and so glad we picked the right tearoom to go to in Castleton. The ladies were approachable and friendly, asked if we wanted tap water, didn't bat an eyelid to my strange request of having tuna PLUS beans and cheese on my jacket potato. The jacket potato was luscious and my boyfriend had the jacket with the local stilton and mushroom sauce filling - which I tasted! - and it was very impressive. Great portions of food so amazingly well priced, we also split a pot of tea and a scone, the latter to die for, came to us warmed and after we had our jackets as requested. Really nice atmosphere. Thank you ladies!

Short, seasonal & contemporary menu & speciality coffee in the heart of the Peak District. Pop up food evenings
We decided to drive out to this cafe from Stockport on Sunday 7/7/19.We arrived to no welcome, menu is limited when looking for healthy options. A good point is the blackboard that states local suppliers. I opted for the Avocado on sourdough & flat white my husband opted for the cheese & onion toastie plus a pot of tea. My husband went to order & pay and before he came back to the table a young girl arrived to inform us that my choice was off the menu. The young girl asked if I would come to the till to order an alternative and sort out the difference in cost. I ordered a cheese & ham toastie which was ok but far too much cheese for both of us and greasy. The coffee was delicious. We thought about having a cake but the cabinet was nearly empty and what was there was not appealing.Customer service aspect of our visit rates at zero due to being unfriendly and the young lad clearing the tables had reprimanded the girl 3 times in front of others whilst we kept refilling our water glasses. Very unprofessional and not fair on the girl who was nervous when she arrived at our table. The lad clearing the tables had no smile and no interaction with anyone not even eye contact. We left without a goodbye or thank-you from anybody. We then went into Castleton and went into another cafe and had tea & cake, it was worlds apart. We both have 35+ years each of customer service skills and number one rule is make sure the customer feels valued and you are grateful for their custom. HiI am sorry you were disappointed with your visit to us, particularly as we pride ourselves on good customer service. We are a casual dining establishment though and you order at the till point, which might be why you were not met as you walked in.We offer a short fresh menu to provide quality and reduce food waste. As it was a Sunday we were extremely busy and it meant some items had sold out, so I appreciate you could not get your first choice and as all cakes are homemade there may have been a reduced selection as I said we had been very busy.I am sorry the grilled cheese sandwich did not meet your expectations, however it is in the American style and we get many reviews saying people love them, therefore I would say this must have come down to your personal taste. However I am pleased you enjoyed your coffee!I have to say I am a bit confused on your comments over a member of staff being reprimanded as we have a great friendly team and I was not aware of such an incident at the time, nor did any member of staff mention anything. I am sorry if you felt they did not interact with you as much as you would have liked, however on busy days we do like to make sure tables are cleared efficiently.Of course all staff should be friendly and approachable and I do not believe your experience is representative of the Grasshopper, which is shown In the many positive reviews we get.Of course if you mentioned you had any issues at the time we would have done our best to resolve them.

The Samuel Fox Country Inn, Bradwell in the Hope Valley is conveniently located at the heart of the glorious Peak District National Park. It has four beautifully appointed letting rooms and since October 2012 has been in the hands of chef patron James Duc
Comfortable room, very comfortable bed. Evening meal was pretty much as good as it gets even when compared to the best London dining establishments and service was a nice mix of professionalism and personal engagement. The locals that live nearby are exceptionally lucky to this place in their area.
