Located in the heart of Cape St. Claire, the Blue Rooster Cafe is a down-to-earth neighborhood cafe where friends and family can come together to hear a little Blues, have a home cooked meal, sip a cold local brew, or enjoy a great cup of coffee.
Our first visit was last month, and this was our second. Small restaurant, 10 tables, open for breakfast and lunch only. Open 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. with breakfast being served all day. The restaurant has a New Orleans bent with lots of NOLA pictures and menu items. Shrimp and grits! Friendly staff. You order from the counter, and the food is bought to your table (they also have carry out). Husband says coffee good, Bloody Mary's as well! The BLAT sandwich (bacon, lettuce, avocado and tomato) was very good. Nice fresh slices of avocado, not the spread some restaurants are using. Waffles with chicken gravy was also a hit. Nice selection of wines and beers. Will have to come back for lunch next.

We believe a meal is as much about the people as it is about the food. From Southern classics to modern flare, we are inspired by the flavors and people of the Carolinas, the Delta, New Orleans and our home town Annapolis, MD. Artfully designed small plat
Took us a while to try Soul and we were happy we did. âSmall platesâ have decent portions enough to share and all were delicious, especially the appetizers and salads. Nice informal decor with pleasant staff. Moderate prices are fair for area.Definitely will be on our âgo toâ list as want to try more of their offerings....

We enjoyed a wonderful Happy Hour on the rooftop patio. The food (oysters, mussels, fried green tomatos, and a chicken/peach flatbread) was all terrific. And the service (Damian) was perfect: prompt, attentive, and personable! Drinks (craft drafts, house chardonnay) were super, as well. All in all, our experience at Blackwall Hitch could not have been better.

Tucked off Severn Street, you walk by bigger seafood restaurants, but youâll enjoy the more intimate feel of OâLearyâs. Reservation made through Resy for later on a Friday night. Place was full. Sat at bar for 15 minutes before table was ready, an easy wait with an attentive bar tender and interesting company. Lovely table for two with an amazing server (Kathryn). The seafood was incredible in a town known for seafood. Fresh Chesapeake oysters, Lobster Risotto (special), blackened Ahi and a dessert of coffee and butterscotch pudding. Just a great place with an elegant but low key crab town vibe. Easy walk from USNA or downtown. Appetizer, two entrees, coffee, dessert and 4 drinks with gratuity just over $200. Weâll be back. Definitely worth the wait and the $$$.
