Aarau (German pronunciation: [ˈaːraʊ], locally [ˈɑːræʊ]) is a town, a municipality, and the capital of the northern Swiss canton of Aargau. The town is also the capital of the district of Aarau. It is German-speaking and predominantly Protestant. Aarau is situated on the Swiss plateau, in the valley of the Aare, on the river's right bank, and at the southern foot of the Jura Mountains, and is west of Zürich, and 65 kilometres (40 mi) northeast of Bern. The municipality borders directly on the canton of Solothurn to the west. It is the second-largest town in Aargau after Wettingen. At the beginning of 2010 Rohr became a suburb of Aarau.

I stayed in the hotel next door and went to the Pavillon for a quick dinner. The restaurant was almost empty which I notified all other evenings that I passed this restaurant. But because it was raining this evening I didn't want to go the the old center of Olten and gave it a try. They serve sushi, a few appetizers and a limited (4) wok dishes. I had shrimps and fried rice with vegetables. I was not impressed and could do my dinner from start to finish in 15 minutes.

This is a late night bar really ... good atmosphere ... decent service, and is always full later in the evening .. the best place to grab a drink in a quiet place .

I particularly liked the design of the restaurant. It is not a big place, but the decoration and the lighting makes you feel in a very cozy/familiar environment. The lunch menus have very good prices. The plates were not so big, but I was told that you can always asked for a bigger a portion if you want. There is also a buffer bar where you pay by weight.I also tried a smoothy bowl... it was delicious! As a dessert i would say one is enough for two people.Great place

The newly opened Restaurant Kettenbrücke has a small but nicely put together menu. Some of the dishes come with a little "twist". The asparagus for instance were backed in a thin eatable paper.I like what they have done with the place regarding interior design.The service could be a tad better and waiting times reduced.Dear JohannaHallerThank you very much for your Feedback. Have been several times. The burgers are made from fresh ingredients and taste incredibly well.If you're in the area, definately worth a try.Only downside; pulled pork only on wednesday :(
