Charming Authentic Chinese restaurant; Chinese Cantonese cuisine is the specialty at Summer Palace and the restaurant offers delightful dim sum lunches, a wide range of live fish & seafood, a perfectly rounded a la carte menu and multi course banquet dinn
We have lunch at this Restaurant twice and order takeaway once during our stay in Yangon. Twice we have the Yum Char buffet the foods were great a lot to chose from, both presentation and taste is of very high standard. The service is excellent. I remember once my young boy wanted a chocolate ice cream, they ran out of chocolate, only have vanilla, looking at his sad face one of the waitress ran down to the other restaurant to get him some. Worrying about the ice cream might melt she actually ran down and got it. The Yum Char buffet is very reasonable priced and the selection is huge.Thank you for this excellent feedback ! We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back, soon! Sincerely,

Royal Pavilion offers authentic Chinese cuisine. Try the roasted duck or the dim sum delights specially prepared by Chef Raymond Wong. Located on the ground floor of Novotel Yangon Max, the restaurant showcases modern & contemporary interior design.
When you say Chinese restaurant, you think Dim Sum.Really nice buffet I had last Saturday. Too much to choose and could not finish. But o so good ... I will need to come back to finish the spread!

Went to 800 Bowls for supper one evening. Location is easy to find as it is on Mahabandoola Road and the 48th Street. Very clean but extremely noisy with loud music. The menu is 7 pages and consists of all kinds of noodle dishes. I had the menu item # 12, LM with seafood. Noodles and seafood were good but could use a bit of spices (i.e. salt & pepper). Note no forks are served. If you have a problem using chopsticks this restaurant is not for you. Prices are on the high side and you pay a 5% tax and service charge. My meal ram 9,200 Kyats. Service is very slow. As you wait for you meal one can observe the cooks making fresh noodles in the kitchen. Interesting process. Overall not a great restaurant but not bad either.
