I ordered using the Kilton House app. The app states food can take up to an hour, on a Monday evening I was convinced this would be a lot quicker. I got two emails confirming my order and an hour later - NO FOOD! The money had gone out my bank and so I phoned the take away. I was told no order was received so the money wouldn't have been taken (it definitely had) the girl I was talking to was basically clueless so the owner phoned me. She said the same, the money wouldn't have been taken (I checked 3 times it 100% had) and she told me if I wanted food I would have to pay cash on delivery (even though I'd already paid) So I was left foodless and £13 down!!!!!You failed to mention in your review that you have since been refunded the money, so you are not £13 down.No orders came through our printer that evening, so as we explained , if no order was received through our printer, we was unable to accept it. Hence why we did not know you had placed an order. We contacted our App developers, who also called you and told you there was an error on their side, and they refunded your money. We at no point in our shop received payment from you, as its a third party payment system. We did all we could that evening to try and help sort this out.

We have been coming here for a few years now and have sampled many of the dishes on offer.Each is piping hot.plentiful and very tasty.Staff are friendly. There may be better.but not found one....keep up the good work

Great menu, reasonable prices, delivery service if required.We had the crispy starters which were all well presented and very tasty,followed with crispy duck. We ordered extra chicken satay sticks but these were really more than the three of us could manage. Recommended to great take out meal.

I live near here so it is convenient for collection orders. The food I have from there tends to be decent. I consider it my number 2 Chinese in Worksop but as it is cheaper and I can get it quicker I sometimes opt here instead of the number 1. I would recommend it, especially the Peking style Beef and Chicken.

Number of times iv ordered from Mandarin palace and had good food, lovely food when i get what i asked for! but also on a number of occasions iv had issues, late delivery, early delivery, wrong food, to which then was contested by the restaurant. Today was the last straw. I am Vegan, not a fussy eater, its through choice. When ringing the restaurant i asked for Mushroom Fried Rice, no Egg, upon delivery i received Mushroom fried rice, with fleshy egg white membrane in it, alot like the egg in my friends rice! Ok, this could be a mistake, but to then be told by mandarin palace it wasn't egg and that the only ingredient was Mushroom.. peas and rice.. well i can tell you, what ever that 'thing' was, it wasn't any of those ingredients. I am 99.99% sure it was Egg. After a long conversation on the phone and being on hold i was told it wasn't egg, after i contested they said they would send a driver to collect and inspect the rice...? I asked for my money back, and then changed my mind and asked for another Rice this time NO EGG, as i was hungry and didn't want to go without! When the driver turned up all he had was my money. This kind of thing as happened a couple of times with Mandarin Palace, and iv never been made to feel like they are apologetic or that i am 'valued' customer when they have made a mistake. Needless to say i wont be returning.

Staying locally for a weekend break. Came across this restaurant and decided to give it a try. What a little gem. Such an unassuming little place, but food and value were 2nd to non. Service was great. Try the banquet, such terrific value. Just wish I could move this place nearer to my home town.
