For years, my husband and I ate here frequently and were always pleased; I'd estimate that we went at least two or three times every month. Fortune Buffet was recently renovated and new policies / prices have been established. Earlier today, we went to have lunch and were told that the purchase of a beverage is now mandatory. Even water and hot tea are no longer free. At the cash register, there are now two signs: one gives the price for the buffet and another informs customers that an additional beverage charge will automatically be added. As a matter of principle, I will not pay $1.69 (plus tax) for a glass of ice water. Before I would do that, I'd rather give the money to a charity! Whoever decided upon this additional mandatory beverage charge is certainly foolish! We left without eating.
Excellent place when you looking for variety and very casual dinning (they do have set up for parties as well). Sell wine and beer (did not try any so cannot speak of selection). Food is very good and plenty to chose from. Hibachi grill to order and very tasty: first time in a while when my food actually cooked to order and it was not too spicy (seasoned perfect). Plenty of different salad and seafood (addition to chicken, beef, and pork). Pizza and roast beef available as well if you are not in the mood for other dishes. Priced very reasonably (paid $58.00 for four with soda and hot tea. Very conveniently located on Rt 46 East with plenty of parking. This was my second visit (first when they opened) and the food was as good as the first day.
Great food , never had a bad meal here, quick pick up, Lots to choose from. Food is always hot and delicious.
This is a local eat in or take out restaurant. Nothing fancy, and the food tasted good. I think they do more take out, because there were only two other groups eating in when I was there on a Saturday night. I saw many people come in to pick up carry out.The exterior of the restaurant doesn't look that good, but the interior looks great. They must have done some good renovating.I had the General Tso's chicken. The flavor was good, and the portion size was good, because I ate half and saved the rest. I had the choice between can or bottle for my soda, which means no refills.Overall, it's a decent, local, quick place to eat, and the prices are good. My meal was about $10.
