We have been to many Chinese restaurants in the Richmond Hill area and this is one of the best. The have a wide variety of dishes so everyone can choose something they like. Their hot sauce is the best I have had (we even bought some for takeout). Hours are very good as well since they are open late. The service is quick and we always seem to get seated fast despite the initial appearance that the lineup is long. Been there several times and never had a bad meal.

The place don't have many customers. Can always find a seating easy. The food is ok. The set lunch is good value, includes a soup, main course of choice and bowl of rice.Other food such as beef roll, hot and sour soup, spring onion cake etc are also good. Price is reasonable.

Szechuan Legend Restaurant is offering authentic Szechuan food and Cuisine in Toronto, GTA area. Specialized in spicy food. Dan-Dan Noodles, Bean Jelly Noodle, Sliced Beef with cold chilli sauce and Live Tilapia Fish with Garlic Sauce are must try.
Northern Dumpling Kitchen inside of Times Square has always been my Northern Chinese Cuisine go-to place in Richmond Hill. Yesterday, for a change of scenery, I decided to follow my son's foot step and try out his favorite place instead. It was ' Szechuan Legend' inside of Commerce Gate.....one of FIVE northern Chinese cuisine places inside the plaza!!The place was packed...a good sign!Overall, the food of our simple dinner was very tasty with some deep, multi-layered flavored dishes. Spice level was just right for my liking. Rendition of a few dishes like the 'Cold sliced leg of pork in garlic chili oil' was a bit different from NDK's approach but equally delicious ( sweetish versus savory ). The crispy fried duck was grease-less, tender and delicious. Very similar to the French Duck Confit but with crispier skin and crunchy, edible bones! Other stand out dish was the yummy ' spicy potato glass noodles with minced pork and peanuts '. Unfamiliar, but very appealing flavoring and taste.A worthy ' northern Chinese cuisine' candidate for a return visit.IMO, better food than Asian Legend in the same plaza and worthy of a return.

Located inside an unassuming strip plaza along Center street, this small ( 3-4 tables ), 5 months old establishment offers some wickedly good Chinese wok-hay stirred fry, comfort food.A friendly and welcoming 'Ann' runs front of house and her partner, a former chef of the once famous ' Congee Wong ', does the cooking in the back. Man! This gentleman can cook!Based on a foodie friend's highly touted recommendation, I just came back from an enjoyable and filling lunch. Very good value and portion was HUGE!I had a bowl of 'Salted shredded pork and thousand year egg rice congee with addition of pig's liver'. Also, ordered was a plate of 'Gone Chau Ngau Ho' ( aka Stirred fry flat rice noodle with beef ) to test out the wok-hay skill of the chef.Congee was silky smooth and consistency was just right. The bowl size was enormous and the congee was filled to the brim. Unlike other outfits in the GTA, their Pig's liver was fantastic! Sliced thick and nicely seasoned, the medium rare preparation yielded a welcoming crunchy bounce and pop when bitten into it. Reminded me of those iconic ' Yellow Sand Pig's Liver ' made famous in old Hong Kong and Canton. The act of marinating and creating genuinely salted, shredded hand-pulled pork was also a reflection of the chef's care and dedication in making his creation a proud offering for his patrons.Produced from a huge wok and burner combo that sounded like a jet engine, the plate of smokey aroma, 'wok-hay' filled fried rice noodle dish was again super-generous in size and volume! The nicely seared and perfectly caramelized beef was tender and flavorful. Slightly charred, the noodles was seasoned with just the right amount of premium soya sauce. Final addition of the scallions and bean sprouts was perfectly timed. However, most importantly, the dish was grease-less. A testament of the chef's skill in creating a delicious wok-hay stirred fry dish with minimal oil. One of the best rendition in town. This is a place that I will definitely return. Not just for the food but also for the extremely friendly service of owner Ann. BTW, out-dated decoration aside, with superior and better tasting products and much better pricing, I would settle for 'Ann's Congee' over 'Congee Queen' any time.

Today we decided to celebrate a birthday with a great restaurant choice...Cynthiaâs. This was our fourth opportunity to enjoy dinner at this great restaurant and we have never been disappointed. We all agreed to have the Deluxe Banquet for Four (A must!!) Our friends, who had never been there before, were very impressed with the quality of the food, the service, friendliness and presentation, as are we each time we come. Our servers were dressed in elegant colourful Chinese attire. They served the dishes to each of us, expertly. We paid cash and as such received 10% off our next dinner and weâll be back for sure.

In case you want a simple noodle soup, this is the best choice in Richmond Hill . It comes in big shrimp ( wonton) dumpling with noodles and you can enjoy the soup. The wonton here is famous because they place a huge shrimp in each dumpling and soup is very tasty ( boiling shrimp shell in water makes great soup ) Be aware this place close on Wednesday. Nearby restaurant is Richmond Court ï¼ åèï¼at Time square that serve similar dumpling soup noodle æ°´é¤éºµ, pork instead of shrimps and was quite popular too.Like my review If you find this helpful.Liza TamRichmond Hill, Ontario

There is a confusing sea of Chinese restaurants in the GTA. I have been by this place many times but our company decided to go there for lunch. What a great experience. First of all, the service was excellent. Most importantly, the food was outstanding. The fried chicken and smoked duck accompanied with perfectly seasoned vegetables were just too good. So yes, when you are in the area, and you are hungry, stop at this nicely decorated, clean gem.
