Things to do in Storm Lake
We have never been here before, but my wife loves to try new restaurants and especially Asian Food. We went here with her parents and our teenage daughter. They are located across from Awaysis Park next to the chiropractic place off East Lakeshore Drive in Storm Lake, Iowa. See photos of store front and strip sign below. They have appetizers like egg rolls and crab rangoons. They also feature Pho which seemed like various soups in big bowls with choice of noodles, we saw a young girl eating one entree. They also have an excellent menu for Chinese. I selected Kung Pau Chicken which had some spice but not bad, very flavorful - I loved it! My wife chose the Sweet and Sour Chicken, which she really liked, she ate half and brought home half. My daughter ordered the Teriyaki Chicken which she liked and gave her Grandpa half since he ordered the Ti Food pork in fish sauce and sliced cucumbers. The Ti Food menu was not familiar to us and my Father in law took a chance and ordered the Ti pork in fish sauce in sliced cucumbers. He asked for nothing spicy and felt this was to spicy for him. I tasted it and the fish sauce was really not to anyone's liking or taste. We do not recommended it. My Mother in law ordered the Mongolian Beef and she liked it and ate it all. The restaurant is a sit down place with various tables. They put two tables together so all five of us could sit together. There was a larger group there as well as two other tables on a Friday night. I took several photos of the Asian Art in the place including a GONG which you can ring if you liked the food and service-which I did. The bathrooms were clean but nothing to brag about. See Photos below. Mark LIKE if this was helpful. Thanks! Try it if you love Asian, you will appreciate it. I just wish it was a buffet like China House or China Buffet. We will definitely go back.Ask them to turn down the sound of the TV or shut it off. It was very distracting!
It's a great place if is your first time go there. The buffet provides about 20 Chinese foods. As a Chinese, I can accept the food there. But the problem is they never change their menus. Each time I go there the food is almost the same. The price is about 11USD per person.
Storm Lake is a 60 mile round trip for us. We eat at China One 6-10 times a year. They always have a large selection of foods to choose from. Even chicken nuggets and mac and cheese for the kids. Everything is delicious, we have never been disappointed.
